The biggest issue with Hooper was he would get out to innocuous deliveries and play peaches with absolute ease.

yeah. lack of concentration powers. Ambrose thought that the guy could've been better than Ritchie Richardson and somewhere close to Chanderpaul in stats if his concentration wasnt so garbage.

thats to do with bad bowling tbh.

fab 4 were great batsmen. give them the current ind bowling lineup and you have an aus style legacy.

Batsmen too shat the bed against low quality WI bowling that series. Or the earlier year when they surrendered in Zimbabwe.

When watching Hopper get out to a stupid shot, usually people wondered why he isn’t doing justice to his talent. Most of the time, he batted effortlessly.

I am glad that Lara talked about Hooper.

not too dissatisfied with rohit's white ball career. bonafied atg with 2 t20 wcs and a ct plus highest score, double centuries etc.

test cricket he should have been a 30 century 10k batsman. issue is he didn't crack test cricket around the 13-14-15 era when Rahane, Kohli, Pujara did.

Only became a good player post 2019. hopefully he has a few good years and ends with 17-18 100s, preferably a few in aus and eng.

Yes with his talent, he should have been best in the world with 30+ Test tons in 100 plus Tests.

Opening in ODIs is the easiest job for batsmen these days but still credit to him to reach never before highs

Not exceptions they collapsed too often for my liking. They had skill but were not mentally strong. We collapsed and couldn’t 100 odd against west indies and a no name Franklin rose destroyed us. We had too many collapses in foreign tours. We got all out for 50 and 80 odd against South Africa and no bowling could save you when you bat terribly like that.

Remember fab 4 vs nz lol in those wickets of nz.

90 and 110 allouts

Then whinged about green pitches

Against kiwis in late 90s to early 2000

Fab 4 were shockingly poor vs swing. On green tops

Rohit only got proper chances in test cricket when he started opening the innings.

Because he kept failing in middle order and it was already crowded. Bit like Yuvraj Singh
