The former India coach represented his country in 40 Tests and 15 ODIs from 1975 to 1987. He scored 1985 runs in Tests, with his highest score of 201 coming against Pakistan.

Blood cancer.

Om Shanti.

RIP Gaekwad.

I haven't seen him play. My only memories of Gaekwad are seeing him applaud Sachin for his master class innings at Sharjah 1998 during the sandstorm match vs Australia

He as a coach along with Ganguly picked zaheer and yuvraj singh in the 2000 CT side in Nairobi.. both of them made their debut together..both were unbelievable in that match against australia..rest as they say is history..
