Crux of the matter, we need one batter to score 500+ and 2 or 3 to score 300+ runs. This will be the main issue.

 

If that happens, bowlers will take care of the rest. Need runs on the board.

Kuldeep is no where close to ashwin or jadeja

He is only slightly better than bumrah who on his day can also stay

We won Gabba with people who were making debuts and taken from net bowlers. We are fine.

If kl and iyer play Australia series its will be 4.0.   kl and iyer couldn't done anything Against England in home series. if they played full matches in that series India probably lost that series to

5 Tests is a LOT of tests- we dont want another repeat of previous series when most of the team were injured.

 

We can afford to put out A team players against Bangladesh and shield Bumrah as much as possible. Shami can use the NZ series as a comeback one to prepare for Aus.

Our of 5 home tests Bumrah should play at least 3 games.  He isn't playing any domestic cricket at all.

Three games are must for him before that big series.

They need couple of draws. When was the last time , Indian pace bowlers took 70 plus wickets in series.

 

You need 6 fast bowlers plus 3 spinners in the squad .

Depends which matches are on what Grounds.. if there are any Tests on pitches which are helpful traditionally for bowlers then yes.. if all 5 tests are played on slow spinning surfaces then youre just risking Bumrah to play him for the sake of practice.

 

He could have got a 2/3 County matches in Sept to get some practice in any club would have loved to have him
