The one match I recall is the WC final where it was in our hands and we still somehow managed to lose it - I think around 2018 or thereabouts. They've yet to recover from that and have no belief they can get past Eng or Aus. Change the players as these ones are scarred and don't think they can do any different. Their ceiling is sneaking into SF, if they get lucky.

2017.

After that they have defeated England. CWG 22 semi is one (same level as WC).

They are like 2/3 in the world but ultimately they have to go through Australia where they fail. England is 50-50.

"In most of the matches that I've played, I ended up accelerating my innings and taking the right decision in the last over, when it was too late," said Harmanpreet Mamadolla, "Similarly, my retirement also came up too late. I mean, Bangladesh could've tried out multiple youngsters in my position but I had to make sure, like the rest of the Pandavs, that I suck every single penny out of the board for as long as I can."

Damn!! Just had a look at his name at the bottom: MamaDolla. :hysterical:

I recall during the Asia Cup held couple of months ago, some ICFers were hyping her to the moon.   Labelling her as a very stylish classic female bradman

And then she and others lay an egg against SL :hysterical:

I mean this team has lost to SLand B'desh women over the last 3 Asia Cups. If you can't even beat those deadbeats and win Asia Cup, you're unlikely to get past Aus or Eng.

Don't disrespect ABD mentioning him with these 2. He was GOAT talent. Babar is choker in his own right and Madhana has had a few good tournaments of her own albeit with a choke.

ABD was GOAT level talent but can't deny he was a massive choker in ICC events.

Kela must be watching mutiple replays of Mandhana failing in every big event.  And feeling relieved that he is not alone....

Yes.    But if Pak beat NZ by 60+ runs, then Pak will qualify ahead of both NZ and Ind.

NZ likely to pull this off then

It doesn't work that way. Others had to support with shorter but quicker cameos and there were some extras too.

Match wasn't out of the hands when she accelerated. But whenever the strike was rotated the other end was dead.

It was definitely an impactful knock given how close we got from lost position, that too without zero support

I beg to differ. She waited way too long. In Women's cricket a RR of 9+ is death knell. She started playing her shots when the RR had already gone beyond 12. A couple of boundaries won't do much at that time. I'm sorry but she should've done more and been more aggressive sooner. And she's supposed to be a power hitter. Didn't see anything which tells me she can hit a 6 anymore. Time for her and other established stars to be pushed out.

RRR of 10-12 can be managed in last overs if theres hitting from both ends. Aussie women did it in their innings too. But there was nothing from other end.

TBF to him, the SA cricket board didn't help him either. In 2015 they forced them to play a half-fit Philander as a quota player instead of an in-form Kyle Abbott. Same stuff happened in 2011 as well.

We struggled to win a trophy for more than a decade with the so called "King" and "Hitman" in the team coz we didn't have the right team structure (one dimensional players and top heavy). Can you imagine how difficult it would've been for SA when the officials themselves forced these constraints on the team.

But that's exactly my point, i.e. she was expecting others to chase at 12+ despite she being in for a long time. 12+ is tough in men's cricket and in Women's cricket, it's not gonna happen. She batted too slowly at a SR of less than 100 for most of the innings, and when the RR is 12+ she expected others to do the heavy lifting despite the others being lower order and new to the crease. This was a classic Babar-Rizwan move - bat slowly to stat pad and when the RR is beyond control, leave it to others and claim you didn't get any support.

Even in the last over she took a single off the first ball. You're the specialist bat, you're the one who has played throughout the innings and all you can do is take a single off the 1st delivery to leave the tail to get 14 runs off 5 and then claim you didn't get any support. Sorry, better would've been if she had gotten out to a 30 ball 40 so that Richa and others had a manageable RR when they got in.

Richa Ghosh should have been sent up the order as she is the ONLY wom who can hit big shots and Aus did bowl pretty poorly by their standards, fulltosses and all but due to inept, powerless game of our batters,we could do anything. She has been a poor captain ,a coward and a loser. Sack her and I have a feeling that Smriti will perform once Harman is gone.

We were hitting overpitched deliveries and full tosses for singles. Nobody looked like clearing even the 30 yard circle, forget clearing the boundaries. The longest shot I saw us hit was the one Deepti hit to get caught near the boundary. Rest of the shots barely cleared the fielding circle. How do you chase 12+ with such poor hitting power?

Varma struck some big blows. HMPK may also have.
