Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was left fuming after opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was late for their departure from Adelaide, according to Sports Tak. While the team was ready to leave for Brisbane ahead of the third Test match, Jaiswal failed to arrive in the team hotel lobby on time and as a result, the bus left without him. The team, including captain Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir, waited for him in the team bus but decided to leave after some time. The young India batter came to the lobby around 20 minutes late and had to take a separate hotel car to the airport.

The Indian cricket team was supposed to take the 10 AM flight to Brisbane and the team was ready to depart from the hotel at 8:30 AM. There were two buses for the team and the support staff but Jaiswal was not there on time. According to the report, Rohit was visibly frustrated because of the delay.

Around 20 minutes later, Yashasvi came to the hotel lobby to discover that the bus had already left for the airport. The team management had already arranged a car for him and he travelled in that vehicle along with the senior security officer.

Meanwhile, former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden urged the Indian batters to bat "better and for time" during the third Brisbane Test against Australia starting from December 14 onwards.

After a disappointing batting performance against the pink-ball at Adelaide, Team India would be desperate for big runs and a series lead-providing win against Aussies at Brisbane.

All these things started happening after Rohit came back as captain. He has totally destroyed the team chemistry. It would be easier at this point to let him go and let Bumrah captain.

Jaiswal is one of the very few players who actually is looking world class, and this idiot has managed to piss him off as well. Jaiswal probably thought "what's the point of doing the right thing when you can survive like our captain".

Rohit is getting worser and worser. Already lost us WC and Test series with his retarded moves and now has gall to punish people for indiscipline.

His pot belly is evidence how disciplined he himself is.

Always go as a team. Always

Someone could have got diarrhea, urgent phone call from family, misheard the bus leaving time... so many things that you, me or the News publishers will not know.

If this is a repeat occurrence, only then it is an issue and needs to be handled by team management appropriately. This talks about one incident, which could have happened with anyone including Rohit or Gambhir.

Rohit himself forgot passport and phones in hotels and they had to go back to hotel to get it.

Fatso doesnt realise Aussie players and even media will pile on Jaiswal for this. Way to put youngster under undue pressure

Phone call to inform your captain or any teammate

I don't. If there was a phone call then why would the team bus wait for him

Because he would have called and said, I will take more time.

Usually that's how these things go, jaiswal calls and says, bro I will be a little late. Bus waits, he takes longer than he assumed. Rohit gets irritated, etc

That happens in any friends or such groups, even for 5-6 people.

I mean why should the entire team be late n risk missing their flight for a guy who’s 20 minutes late. Ideally there was no need to make an issue out of it by overreacting. They should have just waited a bit and left with Jaiswal told to adhere with timelines. No big deal.

Also showing up late, whatever the reason is extremely annoying  and disrespectful. But it happens.

If it's longer than what Jaiswal said, Jaiswal had to update the team to move on. Simple

Time should have been shared by Jaiswal. What can Rohit assume here
