I saw a few matches of Nair. The bowling was not challenging. Ball hardly rose above knee.

He got lot of publicity for getting dropped unfairly in 2016.But after scoring 300, these were his scores 26 0, 23 dnb, 5  dnb.

 

Now add 0 20. He was awful today.He is the main reason for the collapse batting like an idiot.He cannot complain , he did not get chances.No more wasting time on this guy.

 

Agarkar and Gambhir should be kicked out for selecting this guy over Sarfraz.

This loser triggered our batting collapse in 1st inning as well as in 2nd inning.  In both these innings, a solid platform was already built & there was a recognised batter at the other end (not some tailender).   All he needed to do was to stay at the crease. But

A fair run of 3 tests for Karun Nair and probably 4-5 tests for Sai Sudarshan should tell us if they can cut it in international cricket

3 tests??? No sorry, with Sai I agree he is a newbie but with Nair, he should be ready made. Had he been out trying to score fast or got unplayable deliveries in tough conditions I would have reconsidered however : he looked mentally under pressure and a deer in headlights. I agreeed that he should be given one more chance because he was dropped unfairly but not impressed.
