Those breaking the windows are your average rowdy college age boys. How are they 'Mahakumbh devotees'? 

 

Many leftist news outlets (like the 'hindustan'times in this case) have been actively doing only selective negative reporting about the Mahakumbh. 

 

They hardly report anything positive about it. But highlight every random negative news they could find even remotely related to the Mahakumbh. 

 

Before, these leftist news outlets never reported Vande Bharat trains being pelted with stones or dangerous obstacles being put on railway tracks.

while I agree, India as a country with its huge population has a lot of flaws, isnt OP a baki?

Indians have awful civics sense in general and there are lots of anti-social elements in this vast country. I have personally beaten a few of them when I found them destroying public property.

 

But to label them as "Mahakumbh devotees" is classic leftist treachery. These leftist bastards sleep when Vande Bharat trains are stone pelted by you know who on regular basis or when dangerous obstacles are kept on train tracks..

Man's antidote actually started in Muslim dominated areas of Delhi and UP.  Mass Sterilization Dehat programme was ON but it didn't really materialized thanks to his death.

Bimaru states needed it desperately.  India would be closer than ever to a developed country in mid 2030's if it had actually materialized completely.

I like the idea of population control but if that nutjob didn't die in a plane crash he would have been eventually assassinated within a few years. Most likely by a Punjabi Khalistani. 

 

Anyways we saw how his 'antidote' Bhindiwale worked out for Punjab in the long run. 

 

Btw it's only Bihar which is the a 'bimaru' state right now(mostly coz of isolated geography and Lalu Yadav). The way things are going all other 'bimaru' states, even the giant UP, will overtake Punjab on GDP per capita terms in our lifetimes. 

 

Punjab has already slipped from Num 1 to Num 19th on per capita by 2024 and is going down further, thanks to SG's 'antidote'.

How about glass half full. Its same Indians from Prayagraj displaying patience while spend several hrs for the journey they used to make in 10 -15 mins, The price of commodities has increased 3-4 times and even then commodities aren’t available, that too for over a month now

I went to Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh last weekend, on the day of the Delhi elections.  Took my car, luckily had a friend who had his native house nearby in Jhunsi. 

 

It's a MahaKumbh, not just a regular Kumbh, coming after 144 years (first in the Social Media era) and is probably the best organised one since centuries, atleast after the mediaeval invasions. Many people are going there just for the sake of it. I saw cars/buses/vans even tractors with Saffron flags coming from all corners of India. It's not just spiritual but also cultural and political. 

 

Yogi has done a great job both at marketing and organizing. It's not a joke hosting entire populations of European countries in a Teir 2 Indian city on a daily basis for 45 days. Obviously there will be some problems and people will face inconveniences given the enormous scale. It's a Teerth, can't expect luxury here. I saw many people struggling but hardly anyone was complaining. They knew what was coming.  

 

The entire city's infrastructure has been drastically uplifted in the last few years. Lots of new bridges, flyovers and roads have been recently constructed. Yogi has spent money. The roads inside the city were actually better than Delhi/Bengaluru.

 

I met some nice local Muslim e-rickshaw drivers genuinely praising Yogi for the improved infrastructure, saying "Jo bhi bana hai wo Yogi ke under hi bana hai". (They still won't vote for him lol, but that's ok;)

That is not for us to question. It is based on faith. They cannot prove that bathing in that specific spot in better than bathing anywhere else in the Ganga. And you cannot prove otherwise. What outcomes are you going to measure? 

 

So it is best to respect people's beliefs and make the best possible arrangements to safely accommodate as many as possible.

Significance of the mahurat (sun moon earth and jupiter alignment)  and the belief that Amrit from Samudramanthan dropped in 4 places at this time (45 days). So, taking a dip there during maha Kumbh will be good for your well-being. But, a lot of devotees take a dip in any place in Ganga after the sangam or any place as all water is connected on this earth... so it depends on what extent you want to extend your beliief.

A decade back there were pushkaralu in Godavari River. Many people wanted to take a dip at Rajamundry and 15 people died in stampede.  Local gurus and pandit's criticized the public for being obsessed with one place for dip. They said it can be taken anywhere. 

 

Hence I got this doubt.
