Umran has been failure last season, he had just one decent season and faded away. Agree with Mayank, but for 2-3 matches and too small a sample size. Harshit has been succesful because of his t20 skillset and not because of only pace, but he uses his pace with bounce, slower ones, and yorkers effectively.

Umran had Kane as captain in 2022, 2023 it was Aiden Markram as captain when SRH finished at the bottom, so entire team failed that season. 2024, just played one game and bowled one over. Hardly any sample size to judge. Post that he has been injured. There are many one season wonders, yet keep on playing for years. Jaydev Unadkut after 2017 season has been poor throughout in IPL. So do Chetan Sakariya. Yet somehow teams select them. Harshit till 2023 was a back of length pacer, who used to go for lot of runs in T20's during death. Even in Emerging Asia Cup final vs Pak he struggled in death. But he built skills on top of it when gotten the backing from his team. Even now his yorker bowling ability is WIP. But he has the support from his team and that's an important aspect of game. Mosher 1

Umran bowled just one over last season, played only one game.

Mitchell starc has the highest wickets in this IPL. he will not sustain interest in all the matches and He may drop his performance. he gets into top gear only bowling for australia. Here too when ever he has bent his back in IPL , he has succeeded. see bunch of fast bowlers - oldie ishant bowling 134 to 142k, prasidh, siraj and african fast bowler ( forgetting his name)..2 of them bowled upto 146 n 149K and one till 145k. created a bit of fear in a batting line up comprising of INDIA STARS tilak, ishan, evevn SKY later got out and others also succumbed. see today JOfra Archer literally fiished the match in a spell of 3 overs. yesterday Siraj got 2 top wickets at the start and then GT was always ahead. these guys bent their back and on near PATTA's too they succeeded. Prasidh generated 146k pace with bounce and got 2 wickets and he could have got a few more , some catches were missed. Till now the pitches have been flat and Patta's , wait n watch when we get one or two green wicket, that's when batting will be really tested.
