Indian babus have the economy and already deep rooted foreign investments from US economic elite. These babus can simply influence these elite for lobby.  But it requires a concerted team effort putting aside their individual differences. That is something i do not see happening. 

 

The blame must also go to NRI's. They are so piss poor in lobbying.

Fraud and incompetency are two different things. I believe EC is some times latter. Also there is no other institution in the world that has a task as daunting as EC. Maintaining records in a land with $3000 PCI and gazillion castes and gazillion-gazillion political parties is NOT a joke. 

 

In a low trust society, we blame incompetence on saazish and conspiracy. Sad but not surprising.

I saw a story on dawn somewhere in May (7-10) myself remember hearing Pakistani ISPR briefing on one of days accepted that they lost 2+1 jets. Later on news was gone.

 

That story also claimed them downing 3 Rafale on that day. And it wasnt day 1 of fight but day 2 or day 3

Remittances are in dollars. Dollars are only thing which you can use to buy energy (Oil and Gas) or Technology.

Remittances can be seen as similar to exports earnings in USD.

Plus even though it is sent for families, they will be used in India - adds to spending on Indians, merchents, restaurants , construction (houses bought in India).

USD is losing its value. Can we remit in gold? Buy a bunch of gold biscuits and do what Keralites do to smuggle gold into India from Gelf.

GoI can print and circulate trillions of Rupees. It matters a zilch to say a Saudis and they dont need it. So GoI earns dollars via remittances can decide to print or not print INR on its behalf of remittances but it can and will definitely use that dollar to buy stuff from oversees. Remittances and exports are what keeps demand of INR.

 

We have started trading in local currencies among BRICS but still , there is no alternative to dollar, Hence everyone went and kissed Trumps rings when he anounced tarrifs.

 

Use some other currency and your nation will end up the fate of Iraq or Libia and many more

Along with incompetency..India is also associated with corruption nepotism and bribery as well as power politics
