Most of them were harmless balls that could have just been left alone

Boland effectively finished his career. Remember before SCG test what their plans werer for Kohli. Even after telling the plan he succumbed exactly to that plan.

Yes, poking at innocuous deliveries. And it was even before that Anderson tour (2014) and continued after it till his retirement.

He deliberately talks big of test cricket to make people believe that was true(still looks good),in reality if he had 1 % respect for the format he would have ironed out his most glaring flaw which in return wouldn't have let his avg stoop to sub 50 level

He didn't care to correct it,took things for granted for he thought his loi exploits and bot pr army will always shield him for his poor test returns, which didn't fail him actually

He continued playing till late last year untill he was finally told to retire else he will be dropped if he doesnt

Well, perhaps he genuinely believed that what he was doing would correct his issues. So, not that he lacked the passion for tests, but just blinded by his own over-confidence.

Ravi Shastri opens up about Virat Kohli's retirement, says ‘I would’ve made him Captain straight after Australia'

He would've kept Rohit's legacy alive of an Indian captain averaging in single digits the way he did against NZ and Aus :giggle:

They are business partners now. Shastri is a key stakeholder in Kohli's company, something to do with sports management, like Rhiti.

We had a thread about this

The skill that Kohli was better in was ' having a stronger team, having players who were fighters, having a 'GENUINE FAST BOWLING, FEARSOME ATTACK' at his disposal, and the never say die attitude.

Apart from that, Naah!!!!!
