Lord Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Earlier I'd say let him pass the Indian Test but now I can see India losing to his side at home nevada 1
New guy Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 (edited) He is the first black batter and first black captain for south africa. For all the racists crying about quota, it is pathetic that in so many years of cricket history this is the first time a black person was chosen batsman and captain. Imagine a country which has 82% black not having a single black batsman before Bavuma for 100s of years. And a reminder that without this quota, South Africa would never have won the WTC. And a reminder that without this quota, South Africa would never have won the WTC. Coloured players have gone from strength to strength, and played a big part in their success. Ntini was their first big representative, then Prince/Duminy/Philander came and now Rabada is their biggest star. Bavuma their heroic captain who led them to glory. Even desis have done well, they too were sidelined in apartheid era. Amla as their batting mainstay, Maharaj as their best ever spinner, Shamsi in T20s, more will emerge. Watching Maharaj cry tears of happiness yesterday was wonderful to watch. Another Indian origin guy, Sewsankar Sewgolum could have become the Tiger Woods of his era but denied by the cruel, disgraceful white supremacist regime. It is good that in this era, we have minorities representing almost all major test playing nations, sports can be such a uniting factor. India anyway always had representation from all backgrounds, though I hope to see more Dalits and tribals in our cricket mainstream. Lankans have had Tamil superstars like Murali and Angelo. Only Pakistan stands out as a sore thumb, BD too could be heading in that direction despite the progress made in Hasina regime. Afghanistan, only God knows how that country is run, or state of ethnic minorities because of news blackout. Edited June 15, 2025 by Gollum New guy, Tillu and Chalks 2 1

An epic test win streak rounded off by beating Aussies in a Lord's final (check Australia's historical record at this venue, now add their aura in a big fnal), they have carved their names forever. Nothing is going to take anything from what they have achieved. Lord, Tillu, Manucrick and 6 others 1 8
crictime Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Nice performance by Saffers to win the finals. Well deserved. nitinbwj 1

Nikhil_cric Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 Good to see Bavuma perform. It's the only format where his selection isn't questionable. Dude has failed in every single white ball ICC tournament and captaincy was also average. Frustrated, Ultimate_Game and Lord 3
