Kuldeep, Arshdeep, Akashdeep,  Siraj/Prasidh should be playing.  Thakur , Prasidh all same level.  Why did Khaleel silently leave the county cricket for personal reasons? He could have been an option. Get that skinny ass Bhuvi on next fligth ask him to play.

But since it's Rahane, my bet is on Jaiswal. They both share some history.

If Siraj plays him and Stokes might ended up being the only bowlers to play 5 tests in a row. 

Good chance of him not last the test and picking up a long term injury if he plays. He can easily be rested and some fresh legs brought in.

Management has to have faith in Jadeja and sundar as specialist batters after the centuries . Jurel needs to bat at number 5 with Jadeja at 6 and sundar at 7 . Kuldeep is a decent no 8 and Arshdeep and akash deep can bat a bit . Only siraj can’t bat but I think having him as seam leader and using him in bursts is best.

above 5 make a threatening attack imo . Different angles , seam , swing , dip , fast offspin . English batsmen are not as good as say Australian batsmen . This attack will win u any Match in uk .

Per the new Boria bistra update which is probably based on leaks from within the camp, arshdeep has still not recovered.

Apparently the Indian camp is still worried about batting with Jurel so may include Shardul rather than Kuldeep based on batting ability.

If that is what takes place, the defensive mindset would be on display again - selecting mediocre bowlers to feel safe rather than attempting to take 20 wickets.

That would not be the mindset of a team setting out to win the match but that of one which is content to get another draw.

I think they will go with Arshdeep if fit or with prasiddh  thakur is a very good cricketer but for this match , they should go with genuine bowlers 

 

I don’t like prasiddh , but he does bowl with some pace and maybe this pitch will suit him .

Best chance to tie the series. He has been England's best bowler by a distance and captained well too. Ollie Pope will lead the side..he is nowhere close to the presence in the field

Interestingly, England are going in without a spinner in their final XI. If India can keep them out in the field for a long time, they will find it tough.

Iske baad bhi if they play Thakur ahead of Kuldeep, they don't deserve to win the test. He didn't even bowl in OT, played as a specialist batsman which is ridiculous. Without Stokes and Archer our batting isn't going to be an issue, taking 20 wickets OTOH is a big challenge. Carry onwith Thakur, Prasidh type jokers and they will again score 600+ making our win impossible.

Bhai, can't get easier than this. 2-2 is on. But KD has to, has to play. We don't expect 5fers, 10fers from him....but he can get 2-3 wickets in succession when Poms look set, and that will give us an opening. Sundar too must bowl early on, the drift he is getting will fetch him wickets.

This XI indicates a green track will be laid out. Dropped dawson. If you depend on spinners to take wickets, it means 600 anyway.
