5th test oval, preview

Hope India has some better luck with the toss and if the pitch is anything like the previous 4 tests, then play Kuldeep without batting an eyelid

PS: Are England so desperate for TV revenues that all tests have lasted 5days ?

Pant out -> JUrel in

Thakur out -> KUldeep in

Kuldeep is not a total dud with bat. Only reason Thakur was picked to provide cover for Bumrah. But he is not at all used. WHy pick him if you don't use him.

Is bumrah available? If not is Deep available?

Siraj better spend the next 3 days in the ice tub.

Gambhir says all fast bowlers are fit. Siraj needs to rest. He looks tired

Ashwin is very frustrated that the team keep omitting Kuldeep yadav.

Watched the whole thing. Completely agree with Ashwin's scathing criticism of oldies who demean today's accomplishments while extolling the ones from their days. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that most often leads to wrong conclusions.

But who's he talking about that made those comments undermining Gill's achievements in this series?

Kohli PRs.

All the wins at the Oval in the County championship division 1 this year have been by teams who bowled first .

Even in the draws, teams batting second have taken first innings lead.

Oval is the fastest and bounciest pitch in England but it can be good for batting. Closest to an Australian pitch in England.

SL and England both played four specialist fast bowlers here last year. SL bowled England out for 156 in the second innings and chased 200 odd in the 4th innings. All 10 wickets picked by their fast bowlers.

Good thing about Ashwin is he really likes ICT, the players, especially youngsters. Gavaskar also has this quality, and Shastri. No jealousy or insecurity about younger generations, so what if their records are broken. Not all our ex-players are like that, many try to subtly undermine accomplishments of next gen. The way Ashwin talks about Kuldeep, Jadeja, Sundar, Chakri, Axar is heartening, like an elder bro taking pride in younger bro's achievements. He often comes across as undiplomatic and a cheerleader for neutrals (esp. goras), the way he went after Reiffel previous test, the way he was blasting Eng players' behavior yesterday....he can get emotional or carried away but heart is in the right place, again just like Sunny G.

Don't know why he is frustrated. It's not India where you play three spinners.

2 are there for batting. Kuldeep is the best spinner in the squad. Much better option than likes of Kamboj and Prasidh even in England

Oval usually helps spinners a bit more. Would definitely play Kuldeep

Hope Akash Deep is fit too

When did it help spinners. Oval is the closest to an Australian pitch in England. SL last year played four seamers and won the match.

Win the toss and bat first please.

The bowlers will still be tired (from both teams).

Oval helps team batting second.

Day 5 on both of our last tours were turning big time.

That Adil Rashid dismissing Rahul Warne style on 149 in 2018... By pitching it on the rough.

Jadeja too bowled well there last time.

Anyways thought of Kamboj and Gandul trundling isn't a bright one over Kuldeep
