Absolutely.  No one missed them. Except for their fan clubs, who kept downplaying this team from day 1, and are still at it giving excuses of flat wicket, poor England side etc.

 

Dare I say this performance also will put them under pressure for ODIs. Gill, Jaiswal, Sai, Iyer, Rahul,

Hardik, Parag, Axar, Washi/ NKR,  Kuldeep, Arshdeep, Harshit, Prasidh, Varun with Bumrah and Siraj mostly resting is a good enough combo. The generational transition has kicked off after the drawn series.

 

How motivated will Rohit and Kohli be for say bilateral ODIs vs WI, SL, Afg, or even vs Aus, SA, Eng, NZ when most sides don't pick their best 11s for ODIs. Can't see them going beyond a home ODI series or two.

Bumrah's plays nowhere near as much as Afridi did before he had issues. He pretty much rests against every tier 2 opponent and hardly plays any bilateral LOIs. That's where he is being managed

 

Why do Starc and Cummins play every test of Ashes and BGT?

 

It's great to build a bowling attack during phases when team is playing lower opponents. Build a bench strength whatever. But your main guy shouldn't miss matches in an important series to manage workload. That's when you actually need them. Wrap them up in cotton wool in useless games.

 

It's like Argentina resting Messi in KOs of World Cup/Copa America to manage his work rate, there are international friendlies for that.

Yes Siraj deserved rest too. We need to have a bigger pool and ensure top pacers play only important games and series

 

Having said our pacers need to work on their fitness too. Most get injured too easily

His action is peculiar,if he plays just to make numbers it hurts more

Plus his absence gives others opportunity to take the lead,like Siraj thus giving more options

How many times people will give Aussie trio example?they are exceptional athletes infact no one comes close to them

That is a norm ,with too much cricket including franchise cricket everyone is getting injured 

Before them the previous Aussie batch was also mostly injury ridden 

I feel Harshit should be given a long consistent rope against WI at home resting Siraj or maybe Bumrah as well,we don't need the two seniors anyway at home
