We are far away from replacing engineers with AI. Nah depends on the AI models. If you use anthropic models like Claude it is pretty good in agent mode but doesn’t replace people yet. I linked GitHub and Atlassian MCP. I get a good understanding of what the code is doing even if I am not in the weeds. Edited August 15, 2025 by gattaca

Apart from that use the word AI once every 2nd statement. I no longer sell vada pav, I sell AI pada pav. Reality is AI certainly helps. Existing programs/operation I only see it helping with some optimisation but new work, if planned properly, could cause major dent on entry level jobs.

MK55 Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 I’ve noticed that it’s getting a lot better and getting better FAST. I often use it if I wanna quickly brush up some topic. The important thing is that u gotta keep pushing the AI. Don’t just believe what it says. Ask it to explain why. Most times it will be able to correct itself successfully. The other use case that I’ve observed in public (in general) is that it’s enabling people to do well defined tasks super fast. Let’s say someone needs to automate something or start a website etc. But the bottom line is you gotta use your judgment and not believe it blindly. But it’s no doubt one powerful tool which as of now can’t be used autonomously.
