Why? why is the press conference different? If anything press conference is where you can clearly state and not be misquoted. It is the perfect platform.

Well Indian team will be under pressure when you say things like that. Secondly he will be open to ridiculue should India falter which can very well happen in a format like this.  Doing it on the field is way more effective.

This is partly my point . Leave aside the disrespect 

 

Anything can happen in T20is , and can you imagine the backlash now if it does and Pak beat us say in the WC next year (God forbid!)

 

Are India the better team man for man- yes of course 

 

But does it take just one sensational performance from one Pak player or for India to have a below par day for them to beat us in a t20 match- yes! 

 

Feels like a different era but Wasn't all that long ago they beat us by 10 wickets in the world cup

There is disrespect in being patronizing by trying to imagine a rivalry still exists when there is none because you think the person in front of you has low truth preference. 

His tone was not disrespectful at all, at most you can say you would not have done it but that is no reflection on what he said or that its objectively wrong.

Pawkees celebrate the Pahalgam attack just like they did for 26/11 in the past, it is all over SM. And am sure those losers would have used the filthiest of words to sledge our players. Why are some Indians getting so worked up if our people give them a taste of their medicine? In fact, go a step further and dehumanize those jihadis. All their cricket talk shows spout hatred against Hindus and Sikhs, they are not worthy of any respect.

one may also feel irritated listening to the same thing again and again...rivalry..when there is none in recent times..

 

Our players cant stoop to the level of Pakistani..showing indecent gestures about op sindoor..etc to the crowd..but they can show them their place..just stating the facts..

 

we may still lose the final..like champions trophy when Fakar scored century..but it wont change the fact that there is no rivakry today..

 

Again..Pak may still win a match against us..may be the final..or may be after 10 more matches..they may even win against GOAT team too..if they keep playing them again and again..

Thats why I hate  purposely scheduling keeping too many matches against them..unnecessarily...

You guys should stop asking about the rivalry. If there's a scoreline of 7-7 or 8-7, then it's called a rivalry. But if the scoreline is 10-1 or 10-0, it's not a rivalry anymore

 

 

I didn't like this. I feel like this arrogance and complacency fed into our fielding performance 

 

We were lucky to win yesterday, conceded 20 runs too many 

 

Many of us are kids of the 90s even 80s and know how ordinary we were then and how much better Pakistan were. These things go in cycles. 

 

Totally agree . They can give back amma-bens as much as they want on the field , but on PC and Preser save all the bravado talk until they win the tournament . He will look stupid, if gid forbid Pak/BD beats India on the final and they will mock all these utterances. Totally not needed after group matches,

Rivalry is due to political tensions not due to teams being equal. Aussies used to smack England in 90s yet never trivialized it.

Previously the rivalry was due to both reasons. When one reason is a non factor now there is nothing wrong in pointing it out. Political bit is understood, that's why he mentioned Pahalgam after previous game.

India has how many times more people and pool of talent? NZ are superbly managed and have a smattering of world class talent. Besides it is not their job. Nobody cares if they "give it to" them infront of mic. That means nothing as a cricket fan. Best satisfaction is always when you beat the crap out of them on the field. Nothing gives better satisfcation. once you do that you can unleash all the trolling.
