rollingstoned Posted October 12 Posted October 12 First test started today. They play one more test and 3 t20s,3 odis.
Tillu Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Must be a fairly flat pitch looking at the way they are playing.
rageaddict Posted October 13 Posted October 13 India-Wi series is over but we have this Test at an interesting stage. Pakistan has put up a solid first innings total and it will take a determined effort from South Africa to respond effectively and stay in control of the match. As the reigning World Test Champions, South Africa have to justify their reputation while Pakistan have everything to gain, a win here would boost their World Test Championship campaign.
rageaddict Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Markram gone, SA still trailing by a mammoth 333 runs.

SA lucked out with a favourable schedule and then conditions in the final suited them. They are very good at home but quite poor away and have been whitewashed a lot in their last few series in different countries. rollingstoned 1
Lone Wolf Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Pak got lucky with the toss. Saffers still making a fist of it. Maharaj might have restricted them under 300.
Number Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Match se jyada bahar ka nazaara interesting hai. TLP protectors are raging Lahore down. Master_better, Laaloo and rollingstoned 3
Frustrated Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Among SENA teams, SA hv the worst test record in Asia. This series has started the same way for them. (Total Disaster)

Frustrated Posted October 14 Posted October 14 As usual, Chokers SA hv managed to collapse from 174/2 to 200/6. And hv gift wrapped the test to Pak on a platter. The only respite for the chokers would be that this test gets interrupted due to the ongoing fatal pro-gaza protests happening all over lahore. Master_better, Manucrick and Laaloo 3
Gollum Posted October 14 Posted October 14 RSA don't care about this series, India is the real deal for them (Like for Kiwis last year). This is just a glorified practice session for them.

(Total Disaster) They never won in Asia the traditional way like ENA have with spinners. Even at their peak they won with their batting and pacers (mostly Steyn). Frustrated 1

cowboysfan Posted October 14 Posted October 14 ain't no way the saffers come close to the target, they allowed way too much in the 1st innings Manucrick 1

NZ tour was an aberration. Ro-Ko were there plus just a domino of bad choices. Batting first on a damp wicket which flattened out. Again the wicket was simply due to Bangalore drainage where the outfield got drained. The Kanpur test vs Bangladesh with normal drainage the wicket dried out. Panicking, India then made dustbowls and lost tosses in both matches.
