You don't "have" to do anything, unless you are a helpless board with no income dependent on others. As have been pointed out multiple times, countries have boycotted everything from olympics ro world cups over their citizens lives.

BCCI does not have power to kick Pakistan out of ICC.If they can make that happen then it is a different story.

Did any host of Olympics boycott their own olympics. Plus how long and how many times did they boycott olympics and did they stop playing them in other olympics. 

 

Boycotting them in a tournament does India no good both on and off field other than satifsying some jingostic people.

 

So boycotting them is/was stupid idea.Playing them in a tournament is no way insulting anyone.

Why should they refuse and hurt themselves from winning the tournaments.What are they gaining from it other than helping Pakistan.

 

If this was one time thing where boycotting them was solving the issue , I can understand boycotting makes sense.

 

This issue with Pakistan is not going away .So they have to keep playing them only in tournaments and tell ICC not to put them in same group.

 

You want  Pakistan to play its matches in SL in Asia cup and all other matches in India for such a short tournament.UAE made perfect sense. BCCI does not keep any revenue generated from Asia cup anyways.

Pakistan should have taken its own call and cancelled the participation if they didn't want to come to India/SL. Hockey tournament they cancelled due to same reason.Why BCCI have to bend to their needs?
