Because they bat up the order, unlike Jitesh and that is why Jitesh is being preferred. There are no spots at the top. Wk who can come and start hitting from ball one in the lower middle order is a rare commodity.

Bump. Had an opportunity to bat higher up the order today looked like a deer lost in headlights and out to a half slog.Not sold. We can’t have journeyman cricketers.

@maniac I agree now. He showed his true colors. Braindead decisions and batting. Someone needs to slap him senseless for that super over fiasco. Just like SKY in one dayers. he should be thrown out of T20 squad.

he should have never been in the first place.

 

keeper batsmen are useful in top 4-5. At his position no 6-7 you need a bowling allrounder/ power hitting batting allrounder  with control. Someone like Dube is ideal for the role until we find someone better.

 

He is not some ATG keeper. His keeping is on par with Samson, Rahul, Pant, Kishen give or take plus or minus.

 

Can’t waste a one dimensional keeper who can only play one way.

I will pick a tuk tuk Rahul over Jitesh anyday. Rahul might suck but Cant even compare their respective batting talents. Not even in the same league.keeping is equal and I think Rahul is more street smart keeper.

He is an inferior version of DK. DK might be a middle tier international but he is not just a one dimensional slogger. He can open in tests, bat at No.3, can attack and defend.

ya.. In terms of pure range DK is a couple of leagues above Jitesh.  Jitesh is good only for ultra short cameos with fluke boundaries in the back end. LIke 5 or 6 ball affair. Making him a captain is ridicluous.
