I agree somewhat. Even though its a trash tournament and BCCI is not bothered but why are they be allowed to use name "INDIA" when its quite clear some random retired indviduals cricketers selected themselves and formed a team for two consecutive years.

I am not sure why this tournament has any significance now. May be due to social media trolling. It has been a dead tournament for long. Pakistanis don't win anything. SO they celebrate these wins. If kuwait of all the team makes the final you should understand the quality of the tournament lol

@nitinbwj why are you losing your marbles over this useless tournament? :cantstop:

P@kis never win the main events, that's why they hype these do takke ka events. They even celebrate runners up trophies in no name domestic events. There's a reason they are the happiest country in the world.

Look at this chewtiyapa

Thsi is for reach. They need strong reactions. Doesn't  matter positive or negative. This is his source of income. He needs to deliberately post something like this to get attention of Indians.

BCCI is not keen on this tournament as it's commercially not viable. How many ads can you show in a six over match?

This tournament was supposed to be relevant in the 90s and early 2000s when hitting 6s was not so common.

Now with the advent of T20s this tournament is still struggling for relevance when played on lolworthy pocket sized grounds.

No it was never relevant, it was a fun tournament for players back in the days too, they would turn up play some non-consequential games make quick money, shop around on organizers' or some party's mny ard return back. Big names would come for 2-3 days play whatever matches were scheduled.

Former nz intnl player Vincent also mentions about sixes tournament

Star/espn would use those recordings to be used in rain time during an intnl game or use those highlights during off season or they dont have anything to show.

t20 leagues have made it more irrelevant as players are already making mny there and now they have other sm/sponsors engagements where they can make more mny.

DK was playing one game and commentating the next game here.

It is a comical format. Everyone has to bowl. I think they had 5 overs. Even players with zero bowling credential would bowl. Sixes were rare those days. So enjoyed it. Nowadays sixes are more common even in Tests.

While most of the teams either sent over the hill retired players or young inexperienced ones, Pakistan sent current players who are next in line to represent Pakistan. This shows how serious they take this tournament. Yeah in the past other teams have done this as well but again in recent times this tournament has lost relevance and most major teams use this as a retirement league. Good on Pakistan on winning it but again if Kuwait is making the finals of a cricket tournament you should understand how serious the other teams are. Pakistan cricket has been struggling a lot and there is lot of negativity around their team so PCB and the fans are trying to oversell any win. Recently their PM tweeted about Pakistan winning a T20 bi lateral series against a severely depleted SA team. That's how desperate they have become.

At one time they used to celebrate their kitply cup and tuc tuc biscuit cup wins. At least they were international bilaterals.

Now they have been reduced to celebrating Hong Kong sixes.
