How you work around it is will set you apart.

Football is popular in North East, find some contact sport athletes and boxers etc.

That's why Vaibhav needs to move into better sides for better exposure and learning.

It's hard enough to improve once habits set in

Gill and Shaw never recovered from incoming ball weakness.. and likely never will.

Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, bihar, pondicherry, North East all were included in domestic circuit after SC direction. It was fine for teams like uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh who already had good basic cricketing structure.

Increasing too many sides will lower the domestic standards.  

There should be no more than 13-14 sides ideally.

 

I have never understood the point of having separate, Gujarat-Saurashtara,  Vidarbha Baroda , Mah, Mumbai ,Hyd Andhra, Pondicherry,

Chd Punjab Haryana

 

Now you add these NE sides.. it's just too much.

If he fails in U19 WC...BCCI and selectors & even IPL franchies will limit the amount of opportunities for him to fail and improve.

U19 is not a barometer for guys like vaibhav.  If you play GIll now there is no guarantee he will do well in under-19 level. He could get out to a random left arm spinner from bangladesh. Many average performers in U19 have become much better. Abhishek is a classic example. Prithivi shah next Sachin at that time. Even franchisees don't buy him.

Ishan Kishan 39 ball 125 against Karnataka with 14 sixes. Karnataka bowling has really regressed big time.

Sports is PR driven these days ..  few failures and no one's your friend.

Vaibhav for the first time faced scrutiny from fans and journalists post the final.

Let's see how this shapes him up.

Saurashtra,Gujarat as one

Chandigarh+Haryana+Punjab together

Club all the NE sides together

Even badada Vada may fail,that doesn't mean he's limited

Yes,we need more sides but need to limit the number of sidesa th the same time to chuck out mediocrity plus I do understand curroption may also creep in due to high competition

He scored 26 in 10 balls. This team entirely depends on  Top 2. At this level conceding 348 was a crime. But for late collapse they were going to get 400. Most of the vaibhav critics are padosis or some of the rabid fan base we have.  Unless he loses his way hopelessly like shaw he is here to stay. Especially in T20. Best way to get the best out of him mixing him with seniors. If he is the second most senior in his team this is what happens. Jaiswal was constantly chatting with him when he made 100 in 35 balls.

Ranji and VH should not be main domestic competitions then 

 

Duleep , India A and Deodhar should be given prominence with limited teams and a better quality of cricket.

This technically correct guys like Kela won nothing for us.  Vaibhav is the true sewage 2.0. He has good defense as well.  We just look at the way he gets out and get frustrated. If you check his longer innings he plays correct cricketing shots.
