If there's a friendlier more docile regime in place in Iran , definitively not going to be the idiotic western stooge Pahlavi , It works for India too. With the current system, Both Iran and Pakistan look to be isolated from these movements.

At this point, It probably becomes easier to reach out to individual commanders and see who's willing to fight and who isn't. This network is already in action in Iran.When the top leadership is continuously being taken out, Individual commanders can easily be motivated to stop fighting. Israel just launched another attack which killed some 80 odd Ayatollah's who were voting for a new head. That's their level of intelligence inside Iran right now.

Iran and Pakistan are the fastest routes to reach Europe/ME/Gulf for Chinese goods(Otherwise they will have to do the round about the Malaysian route). Also for Chinese Imports to reach China. Pakistan being suckered into joining the Saudi Defense deal basically guarantees that the CPEC corridor collapses. China knows that, While it might allow Pakistan to attack Iran, It will realise that they've essentially partnered with an unreliable Country. This is the first time Pakistan will act against the direct interest of China. CPEC was basically Pakistan's only path to some standard of reliable living and the Saudi's suckered them into the defense pact. Saudi's got American's protecting them and giving them fighter jets. These Pakjabis went in with some **** about trying to sell their made in china fighter jets. The army is controlling Pakistan now. They are the easiest to play against because they just want personal wealth.

They tried to subjucate Iran with Sanctions, didn't work out. Hence they use this method now. The location of Iran carries much more importance than any oil (which while important is secondary) Same thing with Pakistan, For all their boasting about muslim ummah , nuclear bomb etc etc , the only thing which is valuable to the other countries are it's strategic location.
