G_B_ Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Truth is iranians have been extremely hard to work with... Even with sanctions the port should have been handling 20 million tonnes instead of the 4 its handling. Even if regime overthrown it will be hard for corporates outside oil to breakthrough. ravishingravi 1
velu Posted January 18 Posted January 18 / end of the protests merica will reignite the protest next year
kepler37b Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 The failure of repeated protests show that there is a good section of fundamental islamists in Iranian Population. Mulla regime utterly failed economically. It failed to manage the precious water. They got pulverized by west in military. But still they hold on to power. All thanks to the conservative islamist population. RIP persian civilization.

Just because they talk about our Farsi connect ever now and then doesn't mean India has to grovel. However there is practical connectivity issue for india. In long run I don't see any option for India but light up Pakistan. G_B_ 1

Rank 2 is Iran. Both are important but Saudi Arabia is more important. If Saudi Arabia becomes more liberal for women, less religious etc., then proportional improvement will be seen in all Muslim majority countries sooner or later.

If it was on MBS tomorrow he will be roaming in Bermuda and women roaming in Bikinis. So No , Not that easy. For example, Our Padosis are not happy with Neom City specially all the anti Sharia stuff going on there. Saudi locals are same.

Yes, it's the nature of the beast as they say....70-80% irani and Turkish people are liberal but rulers are extremist or closet extremist (in case of Turkey -erdogan) ...in case of Saudi Arabia, the leader is liberal but the people are conservative (to put it mildly).

This is from google gemini 2. The "Split" Field: 2024 Presidential Election (Round 1) In the first round, the conservative vote was split between two major candidates: the hardliner Saeed Jalili and the pragmatic conservative Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Saeed Jalili (Hardline): ~40% Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf (Pragmatic Conservative): ~14% Total Conservative Share: ~54% of the votes cast in that specific round. This is from wikipedia "Saeed Jalili is known for his loyalty to Khamenei and his close adherence to the doctrine of velayat-e faqih, which places the Supreme Leader at the apex of political authority" So almost 40 percent of iranian people are islamic hardliners. There is a reason why islamic regime is surviving.
