Wish it was Nepal. They have massive fanbase and were good in WT20 2024. Could have been bigger threat in these conditions.

Both better than bangers though.

Online Nepalis also are rabid India haters. If BCCI helps them in getting Test status, the day is not far when they too will pull stunts like pulling out of the tournaments for political reasons. Need to be wary of Srilanka as well.

The India hate from these countries are not much publicised simply because they are non Muslim countries.

This is BCCis own doing. Once you give leeway to one country, it will set a chain of events for other countries to follow for similar reasons. They should have known better. Goes to show how reactive and less proactive BCCI was.

Pakistan needs the same treatment then both bhikari ummah brothers can play gilli danda

I wish Pakistan are stupid enough and boycott. This will help BCCI unite the other board members and ensure they are ostracized. And the sponsors, tv channels and BCCI will also learn how to live without india pakistan matches.

If Pakistan boycott, that will be the end of their cricket.

All politics are toxic. India isn't any better, nor is the west. Point of the matter is, no matter what, almost every country tries to strengthen their relationship with each other, espacially the one beside you - for political alliance and trade. My comment wasn't from a cricket perspective, rather from an ecomonical/political alliance. It's just commonsense. What you're suggesting is insane and luckily the world does not work like that. Like I said, if a new goverment wants to fix ties with India, you listen to it, make demands/request/negotiate and make alliance and move on. Sometimes in the future, after couple of generation, this will most likley happen between IND/PAK too ...

My point is Pakistan do not follow an iota of moral code when it comes to dealing with its neighbours in general (you can real more on that if you are interested) and Hindu India in particular. To assume that we can have a Aman with Pakistan is an utopian concept because the very genesis of Pakistan is to be different than India and look for its amputation in every aspect. On top of that they have their own punjabi elite driven short sighted politics that can't think of anything outside or even within Pakistan except to protect the interest of the 1 million people who are linked with the ecosystem driven by army and 40 odd political/business  families, local chieftains, warlords and gang leaders. And now that Bangladesh has been moulded to operate with the same principle , I don't expect any rationality from them either. And you have failed to interpret the argument again, having nominal relation with a hostile neighbour does not mean that you are going to war with them. You are just cutting down on touch points of potential conflicts for foreseeable future and not giving them additional fuel to flare up anti India sentiment. The more we try to reason with a petulant child, the more the child will throw tantrums. You need to leave the child alone for sometime for the sense to prevail.

Pakistan are not that stupid. More importantly they won't miss out on the dollars come what may. There is no state with this level of lack of dignity than Pakistan.

Some of the most obnoxious people you will see online are from India. For some strange reason we display, if not superiority then definity god complex. We have ourselves to blame.

Good riddance, it's not as if Bangladesh bring anything on the sporting front. Three decades of being a test team and still have done next to **** in the game.

They went as per ranking I guess. Which is fair to Scotland.

PS: Nepal too qualified, they are in the same group as Scotland. Eng, WI should easily qualify from that group.

Teams from Europe: England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Netherlands

5 of them, must be a first in any ICC event.

20 teams is a good decision by ICC. Same global spread as hockey and rugby WCs.

Your last sentence pretty much summed up what I said. Once this government is gone, why wouldn't you fix relationship?
