Lone Wolf Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Our spinners are bowling well. Charani has been so consistent in last year or so. Patil being an off spinner doing well makes it a good attack. If these women improve their fielding sky is the limit for them.
putrevus Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Mandhana is best ever batsman from India but where would she rank in ATG list.

Critics can't point fingers at our women's WC triumph. This is a demolition job. Talent wise 1983 India had no business of beating that WI team. But still I don't think anyone can call it fluke, they beat WI two times in that world cup. Once that happened, India and other teams never had any problem competing with WI. That aura of WI was broken , they have not qualified for another semifinal till today. Aussie's women have lost that aura of invincibility. If we win 2 matches in this tour, it will be a job well done, and better than what SEN can do over there. 2 done brother. The semi was in a way like the 95 WI-Aus series. They are still good but we will be better in a decade, especially looking at U19 results and the WPL. Lots of girls will pick up the sport post the WC win plus general increase in wealth. The future is Indian. Have to make cricket what basketball is to USA. Gollum 1

In 83 we also beat them in an ODI in WI, just before the WC, lost that series 1-2 IIRC. So 3 wins in a span of a few months, at a time when no other team could challenge them. Backed it up in 85 B&H. I am not saying it was fluke, just that there may be a perception among the wider public. Btw, WI did qualify to 1996 SF. ATG choke. First allowed Aus to recover from 10/4. Then chasing 200 odd, they were placed at 170/2, then lost by 5 runs. Infamous collapse. cricspirit 1

rollingstoned Posted February 21 Posted February 21 This was a good win. Aus women looked disappointed. Lord 1
Gollum Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Richa Ghosh adds an extra dimension to our team, we never had anyone like her before. Even the best of SENAW can't match her power, also she isn't just brute power, her temperament and shot selection are also very good. No wonder Richa helped us win U-19 T20 WC and ODI WC, in her first attempt. And she is just 22 !!!! We are going to win many ICC titles in next few years and I think Richa will be our MVP in most of those. Manucrick, nitinbwj, New guy and 1 other 1 3
Gollum Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Shafali has been flopping every match for last 2 years. But she was MOTM in the WC final, destiny is powerful. nitinbwj and New guy 1 1
