diga Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Considering mallya paid only 80 cr rupees or so as annual franchise fee, 1.8B$ is quite huge

There is a reason they have gone 13 years without winning the premier league Being a franchise though RCB should be alright. Glazers have done somewhat better with Tampa Bay, they won a Super Bowl not so long back

Glazers have done somewhat better with Tampa Bay, they won a Super Bowl not so long back United might be in debt. But that debt is due to the glazers doing a leveraged takeover. The glazers just have loads of cash with them. In essence , they charged United for taking over United and reaped benefits of dividends and then sold a stake of United to another entity. They are loaded. Just aren't good for a sporting unit

Leverage buy out. Jp Morgan, Morgan Stanley, KKR ( The pvt equity firm) will provide the funds, Glazer will buy it and hold for 5 years and sell it off at 2.8!bn. The banks and PE firm will get a neat 40 percent return on their investment.. happens everyday
