Got to admire one thing, he is mad for speed.
2020 and 2021 were his best years for IPL, his pace was more in 135-142 range.
He upped his pace in 2022-23 and even clocked 150+ several times, but was injured consistently.

Frequent changes in action and injury issues led of loss of precious years from 20-25. Hope he makes it for the lost time and stay injury free.

I watched his 3rd and 4th overs today. There's something there, folks. Sent down 3-4 straight dots/singles to some really good bats - Pandya and Verma.

Just needs to stay healthy and learn fast.

Who does he replace in the Indian side?

Arshdeep?

Wasnt Great man Steyn with SRH in 2022?He knows him bit better

How I wish someone like him gives personal tuitions to guys like Tyagi,Mayank,Ashok etc

Not too late. But franchisees, BCCI needs guys who  realizes the importance of harnessing the full potential of such talents. Agarkar being a fast bowler himself should spend extra effort in extending opportunities to these guys in some way.  I don't even want this guy to play A tour.  Few failures we will write him off. Just directly bring him into the set up.

He was in radar right after U19 ,2020

But unfortunately injuries stalled his growth and  selectors forgot him

He hasn't played much 1-2 games here and there in IPL and 6 games in SMAT 23/24 s ason where he reached 153 and even clocked 161kph(which few said was a glitch)

Next season he barely played when UP association didn't play him for perennial loosers like Boobie and Mohsin

He has to migrate somewhere else to play more games, can't think about playing for national side with current association

I am impressed with Tyagi of 2026. Both in the first match and 2 earlier practice matches.

Not only is he rapid and bouncy but he is displaying good skills too. Trying to deceive the batters.

Quick yorkers at the stumps

Quick wide yorkers

Quick hard length balls at the stumps

Back of a length bouncing balls

Vicious bumpers

Slower bumpers

Slower off spinning balls

He is decently executing all of the above and not being predictable.

Of course pitches and batting conditions are completely anti-bowler and he will have some really bad days like most other bowlers.

But Team India must must invest in this skill-set on display at express pace. Give him more opportunities than most others. Don't let him get lost.

Tyagi has played 7 games for UP this season.

1 FC

3 List A

3 T20s

Not much but atlesst not a total washout like some earlier years

This IPL is make or break for him as he is with a good franchise for young quicks.

Apart from this forum, few folks on twitter and people like Steyn - none of the experts have any idea on what is going wrong with him.

Some don't even consider him as a potential

They lack civic sense and most importantly physics sense

Agreed, UP has a lot of pace bowling talent but they their selectors and managements trundler love knows no bounds.

TBD. He should first get into the scheme of things and become part of the rotation. He could be a load-mgmt replacement for JJB or a 3rd pacer option when required or, if any of the guys start hitting bad form, replace them.
