If BCCI doesn't kick out SKY it would be a clear case of favoritism for SKY and vendetta against Iyer. BCCI should also revisit the ODI captaincy as Gill isn't gonna win us anything. Keep him in Tests and give him Test captaincy but Iyer deserves the captaincy. Making Gill captain over Iyer is the same mistake as making Kohli captain in white-ball ahead of Rohit when it was clear to see that Rohit was the much better white-ball captain. How many failures is it gonna take Surya to prove that he's better than SKY and Gill? Why do our selectors and BCCI always go with the worst option? First Kohli over Rohit which led to ICC trophy drought and now Gill over Iyer when it's clear to everyone that Iyer is a better captain and Gill may not even deserve a spot with the talent coming through? Having just won the World Cup and with a strong captaincy record in bilaterals, he will likely be backed by the BCCI for another 2–3 series. If his performance still does not improve, then they might consider him.

Ishan can be the VC or even someone like Tilak. But at the moment Iyer has the best credentials to lead.
