Sanjeev Goenka’s next desired player ( after KL and Pant ) is Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Which IPL team would not want a rising star like Sooryavanshi?

If he comes in the mega auction (probably in 2027 for the 2028 to 2030 period), which he should to get a fair market value, he could go for an astronomical amount if he maintains his form.

A top player like him if offered less than 15-20 crores should request to be released. In auction, Sooryavanshi could even break the 30 cr mark if he maintains his performance level.

He was bought for 2 crores by RR who actually set aside 10 cr to buy him incase of a bidding war.

Goes to show how incompetent IPL team bidding strategies are when they didn't go into a bidding war for him, who could have been a permanent main stay and served them easily for a long long time.

Unfortunately, historically - Sanjiv Goenka has a history of going ga ga over players pm signing them unreasonably high amounts, and then putting constant pressure on them - including publicly reprimanding them. Saw it with KL and Pant. Don’t wish it to happen to Vaibhav now. He is young and it could ruin his confidence.

Goenka is a IPL team owner if RR doesn't retain Vaibhav  v unlikely) it is obvious all IPL sides will go after him.

That is a part of IPL. If a player wants more money, owners like Goenka are the ones to shell out huge sums. Teams like CSK, GT, maybe even MI, RR, etc., do not bid beyond a certain amount.

Usually passionate owners shell huge amounts to get what they want, not wanting to compromise.

No one can predict future in sports, so for a sport person,  it is better to make hay while sun shines.

KL and Pant are experienced players, who were brought in to captain the side. so Goenka may have had different expectations from them. Here Sooryavanshi is seen touching his feet so Goenka may treat him more fondly as he is young. He is not going to captain any side in near future so there is relatively less pressure on him.

RR won't leave him or jaiswal Unless both of them want to leave . I think Mumbai is going to target jaiswal as he is local boy for them.

Teams owners abd whoever they appoint are incompetent. They will spend millions on the liked of Rahane and Pant. But when a guy like Sooryavanshi comes along, they will try to save pennies

TBF if the auction happens now and every player is available, Sooryavanshi would be the one who'll go for the highest. Likes of Goenka will pay him 40+ cr to get him.

Somebody save this kid from this low IQ idiot.  Vaibhav is fine where he is.

Dravid has mentored him brilliantly

He is already trapped in ipl. Will become limited to t20s.  In 580 runs of his almost 50 runs have come without boundaries.  You cant just dominate other formats with this kind of one dimensional approach.

Indian public is bigger enemy then goenka.  makes hero's to zeroes in single day without even considering anything other than results. Pressure once you don't perform for some time with this kind of approach will not go well with anybody.  And consistent performance is very difficult on top level.

I also feel the way he bats and his fitness level he will be prone to injuries.
