They are to provide one or max two replacement options. Can we really say that Tilak or Suryavanshi play odis after this tournament? Tilak is not good when he has to rotate strike, he gets too defensive and stops scoring because of the lack of grounded shots be it off -side or leg-side. Strike rotation and scoring with minimal risk is v.impt part of odi cricket thats why when suggesting pure t20 batters it wont work in Odis Vaibhav -- He is young has scored ton every series he has played so far ,its okay even if he does do well here , he should play some t20is and give him some Odis here and there may be start in mo as the opening will be done by rohit+Gill and later Gill+Jaiswal. Vibhav/Vipraj/Arshad/Shegde are the only good picks in the side rest are not. not really sure of Thakur he looks good in domestic but never looked good in these A tours, may be give him test not white-ball Edited June 15 by tapandrun
vvvslaxman Posted June 15 Posted June 15 In the current ODI line up Padikkal deserved it more than Tilak. tapandrun 1
mishra Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Also BCCI needs to sell cricket to Indians. So it needs a New Rock Star so that crowds come to stadiums. Not everything is about just cricket. If Suryavanshi gets couple of good knocks, BCCI would have achieved what it needs now n Business Sense express bowling 1

I liked our bowlers though.

It didnt look enough crouching to me to not call a no ball..with that pace and trajectory..it looked above waist

He should have been tried in mo right after the Odi wc-2023 , he is unreal in List A. Not sure if he is intnl material or not but give him chances where he is best.

Vaibhav is a smart kid from what i understand. He has changed gears in various age group matches when need arose. He has all the shots, defense , gears. He just has to get the combinatione right. He will figure out on his own. He can afford to be inconsistent for few years. Gill had horror start to his ODI career. It took a while fo rhim to get things right. Same with many players. It took about 60 odd games for ROhit to start showing his ODI prowess that too after MSD making him an opener. New guy and Need4Speed 2
Tillu Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 Tilak will be the next Kela it we keep putting him on a pedestal. Atleast Kela's batting is aesthetically pleasing whereas Tilak's batting looks forced and ugly.
vvvslaxman Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I think Vaibhav is meant for bigger stages. Not these games. Even in domestic first class he didn't do that well. It would be counter-productive waiting eternally for him to click in lower level. India just has to keep him in the senior set up not let hi m regress in the lower level. That is what England does with Bethell who is not even close to Vaibhav level.

I don't see any IPL superstars in this lineup except Vaibhav, Tilak and an out-of-form Gaikwad. All of abishka dickwaala and samwickrema has played few games for lanka here and there dey r not regular
rkt.india Posted June 15 Posted June 15 What's the logic of superover in 50 over cricket. It should have remained a tied game.

test fan Posted June 15 Posted June 15 someone needs to sit down with Vaibhav & tell this is not how it works. Bache ko samjhao galat line pe ja Raha hu

But she's crouching just slightly, so it is actually below waist height. Knee flex is way bigger here. This would have been comfortably below waist height. Edited June 15 by BCCISelector
