He is nothing more than a run leaking machine.  Reminds me of the brainless Umesh Yadav on debut.

lack of patience here with promising pacers amuses me..

see example of yash Thakur..he went for runs in his previous outings..but has adjusted somewhat to these conditions..so you need to give time to thes eyoungsters..who are learning their craft..

Pathetic were Tilak and Ruturak who were just stat padding whereas SL lower is playing easily with good pace

i just hate that our spinners lack x factor..I know they all can bat but this isnt T20..we need some good spinners who can trouble batters..need penetrative spinners in the middle..batting skill is secondary..we dont have 3rd penetrative option after 2 pacers

Vaibhav's innings is what has prolly won India this game.

And Thilaks innings was very iffy and could have lost us the match if not for Anukuls hitting in the end. Hopefully selectors and the team mgmt note this

Despite Vaibhav's knock, we would hv lost this match.   It was A Roy's cameo of 40 from 14 that turned out to be the difference.

This not not limited to jst spinners , its also why Ind does not have pace bowling allrounders and faster bowlers are not favoured in the system.

Big turning spinners, Pace bowling allrounders and High pace bowlers all takes time to develop and no captain and coach even at domestics ready to invest the time.

line-length trundlers and non-turning spinners always give a fake sense of control which most coaches and captains like , this is even true with Ind side.

Sooryavanshi in big matches...

68 (33) - ICC U19 World Cup Semi Final

175 (80) - ICC U19 World Cup Final

96 (47) - IPL Eliminator

97(29) - IPL Qualifier 2

94 (29) - Tri Nation A Series Final

Get the kid in the WC squad now! We can't win with likes of Rohit, Kohli and KL. We need likes of Sooryavanshi/Jaiswal, Ishan, Sai!

Very competitive tri series.  Lankans were tough opponents.

Afghans were way too raw but showed their potential as well.

India had to play very well to win.  Vaibhav and Anukul were clutch in the final.

Good series overall.

Tri series can revive ODI format

Good series , well done to Sl they played a top side nearly an intnl side with 9 players with intnl cap. Good development for newer Ind player playing a tough opp. in non-home conditions

Tri -series can not do much no one is interested in the games where your team is not playing, pak has been trying to play these tri-series but no one comes to watch ,plus most teams now uses these series as just developmental phase of their players.

Staying in top 8 and able to play top 15 in icc events in main objective now, and through these series teams are just trying to get 1-2 v.high potential player and increase the bench.

Not sure I understand the "Staying in top 8 and able to play top 15 in icc events in main objective now" part. Did you mean Afg here coz India's only goal and objective should be winning ICC tournies, especially World Cups along with WTC. Anything less and it'll be a massive disappointment and under-achievement.

Aussies are no longer what they used to be with no new talent coming through, Eng has regressed from their peak of 2018-2022, SA are still SA who struggle mentally and we've finally put kiwis in their place by beating them in CT and WT20 finals (along with 2023 WC SF). Rest of the teams are also rans and if we don't win the WC now, I don't know when we'll win it.

With this series - Ind can develop vipraj showed he can bat in last few over and is a leg-spinner

Shegde -- A lower order hitter, showed he can play in tense situation as well

Rated Vipraj highly and his bowling had regressed. Good to see him coming back strongly. One other player I would've taken to SL is Madhav Tiwari. I rate him higher than Shedge and he's someone I can see play the Pandya role.

I would play Nitish, Shedge and Tiwari in all of the upcoming A series and choose the one who performs the best for WC.
