vvvslaxman Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I think INdia should experiment with Zeeshan Ansari. These bloody buggers have no included him either in Indian team or in India A team. Harsh Dubey bowling average is 44.00 for 2025/26 season. HE is just econmical. You can't have someone like him in the middle overs. Today got some lucky wickets. Also in pace deparment Gurapjneet or Prince yadav should have been played in place of prasdham. Manucrick 1

vvvslaxman Posted June 13 Posted June 13 INdia's biggest headache will be bowling. Shami, Bumrah, siraj, Kuldeep, Pandya combination was very good. India has to focus on bowling department more. We have enough batsmen in the set up.

Dubey ,not a big turner, his technical release focuses heavily on getting overspin and a high release point Not a white ball bowler now, there is dip there in red ball when he gives it loop express bowling 1

They made the same mistake with Siraj. Played him first in T20. HE was thrased by Bangladesh. He stocks went down. Introducing players in wrong formats will hurt them more than help them. Manucrick 1

Because it is clear that TM/Gill don't see any bowling potential in him. He is Jadeja 2.0, without the fielding prowess. Absolute liability. Perhaps better in hitting and temperament but yeah unnecessary now When Jadeja debuted there were not many options then won us CT 2013 and became a permanent member No such compulsion here with Sundar Gollum, Manucrick and rollingstoned 1 2

tapandrun Posted June 14 Posted June 14 The idea is good with Sundar a LH mo batter who can bowl few overs , but the issue is sundar is not the right player. He is not a white-ball batter. And specialist off-spinners are obsolete in white-ball already. What ever he does scoring 35+, bowling full quota of 10 overs is like him punching above his weight for him. TM should ask and try Jaiswal in mo, if nothing it will give him confidence in Odis and if Rohit loses form in Wc he can directly replace him at the top. though this is not going to happen,it would be similar like kolhi that Ind persisted with him till the T20i wc finals. Ind need LH in mo, can/should try padikal/Venky Iyer/Jiswal..etc

All the pak white-ball spinners looks good with x-factor, Pak cricket has been white-ball oriented for yrs now. Pak selection is v.diff to that of Ind, Ind does not pick players with 1-2 games in ipl even with full season of good ipl is not good enough. They have to prove themselves up for 2 season and 1-2 good domestic season as well. Rt. now its the best time to be crkter in Pak ckting system with no substantial domestic record and few wkts/runs in psl can get players Pak cap. Gazi-- Avgs 26 and st 75 in list A is playing odis hs 65 which came in Odis vs Aus Samad - Avs 33 sr 79 in list A playing as finisher in Odis Arafat played on dodgy pitches vs b/c level Aus side who does nt know how to play spin much and specially low and turning with such tall batters is not possible unless they play sweep and use the height and the reach. Think Harsh would have had good outing on those pitches too vs such batting line-up Harsh is not white-ball bowler and they picked him in white-ball, issue is in Ind ppl think some1 doing well in ranji will do well in intnl and in all formats which is v.far form truth Abrar is good but he gets hit often vs good batting side Pak mostly plays vs b/c level sides and now on dodgy pitches really can not tell if they are really good performances or not. Problem is they remain "upcoming" forever due to lack of system. Varun C is better than any white ball spinner they have had since Ajmal and he was a very late bloomer. By the time the current batch of Indian bowlers are done - pace/spin a new batch will come up. Plus Kuldeep is only 31 and he is way better than any Pakistani spinner.

There are a lot of sub plots in each innings. This is visible even in A games. Not giving enough balls to face for their competition is one common thing.
