Afghans are worst test side among minnows They were missing Taskin also there. Yes WTC should be expanded and they need to move that finals away from England for it to take off.Finals should be rotated just like other ICC tournaments. India would have won both ICC test finals if they were played in India. express bowling and nitinbwj 1 1
putrevus Posted August 13 Posted August 13 SA is not a great side by any means, Indians made them look great that too at home.England has every chance of beating them if they bowl well. Aussies will either will steam roll proteas or get steam rolled. Can Aussies lose four tests. nitinbwj 1

I still don't think NZ will do much in Australia if they don't leave more than 3-4 mm of grass on the pitch. England are touring SA right? That will be an interesting tour. Once again, if Saffers are full strength and they make pitches with bounce but no sideways movement they should dominate England. Root is not a great player of bounce and Brook is very average against it. It is darwin not the usual venue. They have played a grand total of 3 tests here. Once in 2003 vs BD. one in 2004 vs SL.They are playing a test after 22 years. Even last ODI that was played here in 2008. Couple of T20s last year. That's it. Not much history. They are the first ones to adopt drop-in pitch. This one is a green wicket.
putrevus Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Aussies play gruelling 20 tests in next 12 months plus. India has to play more tests than these t20s also. SA series should have 4 test series.
gattaca Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Australia rolled out same pitches just like against us. Bangladesh played well. nitinbwj 1

Reminds of Adelaide surface.. these drop in surfaces negate the venue disparity. BCCI should look into this and look to improve domestic pitches. Ramiz Raja didn't had money to pull this off on PCB but he also was of the view that low bounce of Subcontinent tracks can only be altered by adopting Drop in surfaces brought from Australia. ICC has done that in WT20 in Carribbean and USA in 2024 I think express bowling 1

Also if you change nature you will loose the subcontinent nature of the wicket Edited August 13 by gattaca
Sandz Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Aus just need to win one sessions to get back into the game, still a long way to go. Sgattick10 and express bowling 2

No need for drop in pitches for India. As long as the curators are properly trained, It will be fine. Australian pitches do turn out to be roads as well.
Chaos Posted August 14 Posted August 14 @Tillus great power even made hazzlewood leaving perfectly. Where our fisherman from london would fish it 6stmps apart
Chaos Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Well done tiny tigers. Thanks to my telugu bro @Tillus power to bring best defence and patient, trail almost wiped out. Thanks to other isi agents in @Austin 3:!6 @Lord for being quiet
Lone Wolf Posted August 14 Posted August 14 (edited) BD has had some really awful tuk tukers at the top... Having a dashing young opener has made all the difference. Always wanted Tanzid to play Tests You gotta have defence as well as run scoring ability in modern day cricket as Gilly just said Edited August 14 by Lone Wolf

Also if you change nature you will loose the subcontinent nature of the wicket Indian and Pakistani pitches off late have two extremes either too batting friendly or raging turner. Toss is basically game set match. In domestic cricket they end up leaving grass but that with ultra lower bounce makes ordinary players with no technique look good and Trundlers succeed. Lone Wolf Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Young Tamim is jittery in his 90's.. only his second test this
vvvslaxman Posted August 14 Posted August 14 3 fast bowlers. Theys till can't do anything. They could have played boland in place of Lyon.
Lone Wolf Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Classy hundred by Tanzid.. first Bangladeshi to do so in Australia.
