I'm not sure that he is one for ODI cricket, as his stock delivery is at 125kph with not much movement and so will be quite easy to hit. However, I think he should have been one for the World T20 squad, he is a good thinking bowler and knows when and how to deliver variations. He is a similar type in T20 to R Vinay Kumar, but I'd say he has performed slightly better in this IPL - it is just a shame that the squad was picked so early, and with someone who has performed poorly, such as Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla in the squad, over a Trivedi who has performed very well in this IPL.

Trivedi is a thinking bowler, a good variation-dependent bowler more than his stock ball.He is definitely very economical, and along with that he also can apply pressure at one end, so that the captain can attack at the other end, his disciplined bowling makes him a good T20 specialist, but no chance of getting away without a stock ball in ODis. So hes a good t20 material, but not an ODI stuff for sure.
