adi B Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Which death race you are talking about? 2000 or 2008 08
Sidhoni Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I watched it biggest problem of the movie is Akshay Kumar is not even 10% of actor what Ajay Devgan is. No one can play a Don like Ajay Devgan, Seen many people try and act like don. Trust me everyone looks thanda infront of Sultan Mirza aka Ajay in OUATIM ,so was the case with Akhsay Kumar. Well many reviewers are saying Akshay Kumar's great acting is the reason to go and watch the film.
trundlerNO1 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 ^^Akshay is good, but he isn't the same level as Ajay Devgan in term of acting . I loved the first part mainly because of Ajay Devgan and I thought he deserved the best actor award ahead of SRK(MNIK). The story of part 2 is very weak, first part focused on ruling Bombay a proper gangster film of old times, here in the 2nd part is a love triangle then anything

Ram Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I'm waiting for your feedback. Saw the movie. It was everything that I expected: A very solid performance from SRK - who is a fabulous actor btw - a little else. Its a comedy movie that was begging the audience to not take it too seriously, so it would be pretty stupid to sit here and shoot holes in the script. On the downside, for a movie that was classified under the genre of romantic comedy, I didnt find it particularly funny or romantic. So not sure what type of movie it exactly was. P.S; Anyone who says the movie was offensive to the South Indian culture needs a sense of humor implant.
maniac Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 SRK's acting in MNIK was LOL worthy. Yeah that wasn't even an imitation.....it was a cheap parody of one of the best performances of the 80's......Dustin Hoffman should have sued srk just for making a mockery out of it.....that was an insult to a great actor

Would love to watch it. @SRK's acting- That scene where he proposes Kajol was hilarious. Over acting at its finest.

WOnt be surprised if it is SRK's favorite movie-Also Look at Tom Cruise's style in this movie- SRK has copied it in his earlier 90's movies many times.

hhunaeh Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Watched a high quality dvdrip of ponyo. It was colorful and beautiful. Does anybody here watch japanese anime movies made by studio ghibli? They are japanese masterpieces, especially the ones by the maker of ponyo. Highly recommended.

Even Pixar says he is a great inspiration for them. My personal top 5 in his movies. My Neighbor Totoro Laputa : Castle in the Sky Princess Mononoke Spirited Away Howl's Moving Castle waiting for The Wind Rises. btw, not a ghibli fim, but I liked "Grave of the Fireflies". That's the only cartoon which could make anyone cry. It haunted me for days.
Sooda Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 ^No, as far as Im aware, it has not worked for me for a while.
