I think this can be the first time when we can have 2 bowlers bowling @ 145 km and add Zaheer to the mix mentoring them... this could be fun if we can take care of these 2 new bowlers and improve them. I have seen Fletcher do that with the Eng team when he was the coach, hope and pray he persists with same formulae for bowlers with the Indian team...

We have seen the likes of Munaf and Sree and Zak start off bowling quick only to reduce their pace. Although having said that, he doesn't look like he will sacrifice pace for line and length.

He seems to sort of hop-step and jump step his way thru the first half of run-up. Its only during the last 10-12 yards that he actually even begins to run.

Time to ask Brett Kapoor to retire from the game and become India's bowling coach :winky:

I'm not sure how can you take name of Zaheer with Munaf. Zak bowled quick for first 7-8 years of his career. He dropped his pace during last phase of his career and he has become quite effective. Munaf has become more or less bowling machine. Sree's situation is hopeless.

Asim Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Just watched the highlights, Very very good fnid, genuine pace, he must be handled carefully and there should be some coach who improve his bowling skills NOT on the cost of reduced pace, he have everything to become a deadly fast bowler... If there could be some way, India should appoint Akram as bowling coach...
