satyam1729 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Who do you think gave more psychological blow to Pakiz ?
Bublu Bhuyan Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Sehwag by a mile. Look at some of the Test innings Sehwag has played against Pakistan. Jadeja's claim to fame in this regard is that epic trashing of Waqar Younis in the 96' WC QF match, at a time when he was probably the most feared fast bowler in the world.
vvvslaxman Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Jadeja without a doubt. With Viru you expect to give psychological blow to any team let alone Pakistan. But with Jadeja it was a sweet surprise for Indians and utter shock for Pakistanis. 40 runs in 2 overs against Waqar in the death overs? I would take any day.

Cricketics Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 From Sehwag they were aware of getting pwned, From Jadeja they never expected to be pwned. They were focussing more on Sidhu and Tendulkar that time.

Before yesterday, that assault and the subsequent defeat was the worst ever cricketing memory for them, leaving 170 million people in utter despair.
WC2011INDIA Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Can someone post or pm me the Ajay jadega vs. Pakistan 1996 WC video? I searched it on youtube but couldn't find it.

Cricket Tragic Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Jadeja. It's not even a contest. A brilliant knock against a strong team that were the world champions. It was also against a far superior bowler (Waqar).
Clarke Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Jadeja made an expresso out of their express bowler. Gul, although a decent bowler, hasn't been outstanding.
zen Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Jadeja vs Waqar video says that it is not available in my region :(( Anyways, the vote goes to Jadeja! That was awesome performance in an era where 280 was a great score against a Pakistani side that was much better than the current one
Rajiv Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 ^^. they blocked that and several other gems..I dont even remember that account but not sure who had issues with a freaking 15 year old game
zen Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 ^ yep, sounds stupid to block a clip .... but anyways, below are the highlights from that 1996 game: n9FWKo5BBdc
Ranvir Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I think Jadeja's innings was much more important. He gave India a good finish and a more daunting total, it was the icing on the cake. Whereas Sehwag provided an excellent start but India did not capitalise on it.
