CSK Fan Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Jadeja's innings was goosebumps. Was cheering myself hoarse. The occasion, venue and situation. Outstanding. This was also around the time they had a decent team and tension between the countries were also high
Detonator Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Jadeja by a long margin.... Waqar never really recovered from that assault. He was never the same bowler again... :this: "Waqar Younis is being slaughtered". One of the most intense matches I have ever seen.

saneindian Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 In that Jadeja match, een Srinath and Kumble played cute cameos, hitting Waqar and co for a few 4s
Khalpat Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Jadeja without any doubt. I remember one of the inning of Kapil Dev against South African team having Donald at Adelaide during 1992 World Cup match. Since no one has talked about that inning, this Jaat made 42 runs in 29 balls even though India lost that match. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65149.html
India-KXIP fan Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Sehwag cameo, such a high pressure game and off he goes. Was great to watch. :nice: 2nd- Raina Mohali 3rd- Raina other game Then all those other ones.

A bit ridiculous..it was an amazing team and one if the best in the world. India outplayed them on the day.
hassan_113 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 In that Jadeja match' date=' een Srinath and Kumble played cute cameos, hitting Waqar and co for a few 4s[/quote'] No Wasim Akram was the key. He was our best bowler.
carnish Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Best Cameo .. ummm,.... I guess I have to give it to Nayan Mongia in 96 WC against WI.
CoverDrive Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 jadeja wins it. before that in crunch matches in sharjah it would be pak players who would play such innings but this was first time indian did it and that too on a big scale.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 What about DHoni and Gambhirs in the final!!
velu Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 What about DHoni and Gambhirs in the final!! both r main innings , not cameos :giggle:
Sachinism Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Not a WC, but CT final, add another Jadeja to the list
kruiser Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 On of my my best cricket memories - Jadeja massacres Waqar.. i was in train, coming back from a (unsuccessful) job interview, was the only one in my compartment with a transistor/walkman and was surrounded by i guess 30 people... Jadeja made our day and i forgot the misery of not getting a job!
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 Not a WC' date=' but CT final, add another Jadeja to the list[/quote'] That is why i bumped this thread.. For his innings :winky:
deathmonger Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 A decent team lol? A bit ridiculous..it was an amazing team and one if the best in the world. India outplayed them on the day. It was a good team, not amazing. Pakis overhype the team of the 90s. That team failed to win series in Oz,SA or WI and lost home series against the likes of Zims/SL.

Winning the WC in '92, being runner ups in '99, winning the Nehru Cup in '89 they did have results to show. Yeah, they lost to India in '96 but they were the favorites going into the match even without Akram.
