The second innings was not a full toss but an LBW to a ball pitching full which he should have been playing back to. Edit - I am talking about Tendulkar.

Old guy Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 not again! :wall: he is class act will score match winning knock in next game honestly he needs to bat up in order and u will see how much better he will play not making excuses but when batting order is collapsing everytime he goes into shell which is not natural for him i think he should play at number 4 ...will make big difference

A scorecard showing 170-180 for 2 down doesn't seem like a horrid situation but 170-180 for 3 will put the pressure on the next batsmen. But again there were such situations against NZ and Kohli did well. He has been below par in the series, no excuses for that.

He has been below par in the series, no excuses for that. 1 or 2 bad games can be overlooked tbh....I mean the kind of run Kohli has had in the last 2 years...even 1 bad series individually can be excused...that is why so far I have ignored this thread... I guess we have set expectations pretty high for him almost SRT of the 90's,2000's level....Kohli is still at the beginning of his career and has had a decent start to his still young test career.... Yuvraj has been a proven failure at this level time and time again...Raina well...we have seen enough to conclude he doesn't have what it takes at the test level....so don't get OP's point or he has been succesful with his trolling given the amount of responses this thread has been getting.

Early in his innings, he usually gets his runs in the on side, they have hardly given him anything on the pads. Although I agree with you, he needs to ease out a bit.
saneindian Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 4 failures for Kohli now..Needs to plan his innings better and has to start rotating the strike better at the start of his innings. In each of the 4 innings he has got stuck in his innings, hitting beautiful shots to the fielders and then playing a lose shot to get out after putting himself under immense pressure.

Mariyam Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 My observation of his innings in this series and the last few series has been that he just isn't as charged up when playing tests. You don't see the cursing under the breath when he gets out, of the fist pumps when he hits those difficult boundaries or any of the emotion that he is generally associated with. Even while fielding, he seems very distant, almost distracted. Compare this to his in your emotions at the T20WC, where he almost cried when India were out and you felt sorry for him as much you did for the team. Maybe its a question of motivation for him.
