^agree.but more tha batting' date='I want him there more for his ability to swing the new ball.Aussies r prone to that n being a left armer its added advantage.[/quote'] this is on YAHOO...either dinda or unadkat... "The Indian team management, be it the captain or the selector, have to take a decision immediately. If Ishant isn't fully fit, and has little chance of recovering, then he should be sent back home," he added. Interestingly, both Dinda and Unadkat have been in impressive form this season. While Dinda has so far claimed 27 wickets (avg. 22.29) from the five matches he played for Bengal, Unadkat is not much behind having collected 24 wickets (avg. 28.62) from six games. DINDA- 27 wicekts at 22 Average..looks like He is definitely the right Choice......... i understand he is bowling 140 + regularly as well. i also hope that his Jump only helps him.

It doesn't matter even if he is selected' date=' the only way he will get a game is if Mithun and Vinay both get injured ()[/quote'] Yeah, as we saw in England,(in ODIs) India kept losing all the one dayers, Vinay Kumar was going at over 6.5 an over and yet Dhoni used Varun Aaron only to warm the benches.

Of course, he would want Dinda to get selected because he is another Bong. Looking at Dinda's run up, you would imagine he would bowl something around 180 Kmph. If he tried running all the way up to the batsmen, he would reach quicker than the ball he delivers.

people talking about irfan as a batsman are living on delisional. i have been seeing pathan since ipl 4 and he has only gone down as a batsman. vinay and mithun are better batsmen than him right now and did better than him in ranji trophy this season with the bat
But, the thing is he has talent to bat in any conditions. Remember, his innings last time he played at perth test match. He opened there and also came 1 down. His batting was a big factor over there along with his bowling. Star Cricket are showing those matches every now and then. Right now, maybe he is not in form but it might take him just 1 innings to get back his form. He is surely much better than Vinay and Mithun in batting. Although I do believe it is too early to bring him back to the test side.

I don't care about Unadkat's form whether or not he is taking n no. of wickets. I would go for talent. Wickets wise even T Sudhindra is the highest wkt-taker but he is not Int class

I think he is trying to Scr*** the Selection Committee. The entire web & twitter is quoting Ganguly.
they should send dinda even if ishant is fit cos zaheer and ishant both can get injured anytime and it takes some time to send player..

Australia should ban Indian bowlers from disgracing the lightning fast Perth pitch. Can you imagine Mithun and Vinny bowling 125k on this pitch? I will turn off my TV (actually not, I want to see Watson smack the living day light out of these two). I want to see some awesome fast bowling where the keeper has to stand outside the inner circle (or really further down)...

VK , Mithun, Unadkat, should not be anywhere close to Indian test team , as the selectors don't understand they may be ok in t20 , Odi's , SIMPLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO OFFER IN TEST'S.For test's, selectors should look at , Tyagi, Gony, Dinda, Shukla, Nechim, Anwar Ahmed, Shami Ahmed, VRV, guys who have pace and can bowl 140 plus.

Fast Bowling <> bowling with speed greater than 140. There are other facets to a fast bowler as well. I will take a PK over 150 KMPH Sreesanth any day (provided both are fit). I dont care what speed a bowler is going at.. as long as he gets me wickets, he does his job! I agree about Mithun and Unadkat, but rather than just shoving a new baller into a test match in AUS, I would take VK or IP. Have been impressed with VK in WI series.

Perth 2008, Australia had Lee, Jhonson and Tait, all 150+ monsters, we had RPS, Irfan and Ishant, none could bowl over 140..yet we all know the result.
