But he looks a better prospect than Kohli for tests. Rohit also has a loose technique to play swinging ball. Kohli at least in ODIs have proved that he can play on bouncy and swinging conditions in SA and England. He took time to settle down even in ODIs for his first 15-20 ODIs. He will do well same in tests as well. If we start discarding players like this, we will need a new player in every series. We need to give them time to settle down. It is not easy to score runs on these pitches against a genuine pace attack. I still remember how Dada, Dravid, and Laxman struggled in 1999 on their first tour to Australia.

His average of 10.75 is even worse, its just marginally better than Ishant Sharma's. I consider Ishant a better batsman as he has shown he can survive much longer. Virus Kohli is the worst batsman in the entire XI. We cannot afford to play this turd any longer. Let's have someone else to fail at #6. This Ashwin dude can teach a thing or two about batting to our #6 batsmen. Better he could be our #6 wow, ur really pissed off at this team, how about using ur full anger in killing duncan fletcher, might help india :winky:

I am a big Kohli fan, but would love Sharma to go and score some runs. I don't care if that puts Kohli out of the team, as a fellow Indian, Sharma will get my support.

Kallis first 16 tests 609 runs @ 25, look where he is now. The guy hasn't showed any improvement at all. He has no defence. and the worst thing of all, his attitude sucks. Just on the basis of his attitude, I would drop this fecker so he learns not to take his place for granted. I bet Kallis didn't look like a complete amateur like this Kohli in his initial tests.

Disappointed - Yes, Happy - No. Nobody is happy if a talented young cricketer fails but many people (including me) have an opinion that right now he is not ready for Test cricket and has a few flaws which he has to sort out and is too arrogant. He HAS to calm down a bit and control himself because too much aggression will not help his cause. As for Rohit - I consider him to be the most talented young player in World cricket today. He seems to have improved his temperament in the last few months so I expect him to succeed if he is given a chance.

Gautham hit a 50+ so he cant dropped... Viru will get couple more chances Dravid and Lax may have retirement plans soon..so they will continue Dhoni is captain so the only BAt left is Kohli...it happens to anybody
