maniac Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 it wont work...when the site opens it will tell this facilty is not available in your country....copyright issues i guess. I dont know about work arounds...there must be something.. Same with Netflix.. I guess should have looked it up online....you are right looks like Pandora cannot be accessed in India....may be try Slacker radio if you want to listen to music....As good as Pandora and right now I am looking online and don't see anyone raising issues about not being able to access it in India... It is very similar to Pandora so 99% chance it will not work but guess worth giving it a shot :dontknow:

coffee_rules Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I use PC to search and get the movies on TV/Wii/App to watch. On tablet apps, I can search, not on Wii. But generally it is good time-pass for 9 bucks a month for a on-demand service. The 'suggestions' tab works for me. It gets some good instant watch content based on what you like.
chaiwala Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Anyone use Roku player? its a **** product. My mother just got it. She loves it! I use my friend's Netflix. It's quite good for watching Hollywood movies, and television shows. However, their Bollywood collection is a bit thin.
Rajiv Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 What can u find with roku and hindi? BTW, Roku created a new USB stick for Smart TV's so I am thinking of getting this too http://socialbarrel.com/roku-streaming-stick-provides-streaming-services-to-tvs/29979/ But..I need to know if channels work correctly? and what hindi/pak content is there
chaiwala Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 YuppTV has several packages, including some that use a Roku box. You can look at them here: http://www.yupptv.com/
Rajiv Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 woops My TV already has it, I saw the app and I was like what is yupp? http://www.yupptv.com/App/Samsung.aspx
Yoda-esque Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 My mother just got it. She loves it! I use my friend's Netflix. It's quite good for watching Hollywood movies, and television shows. However, their Bollywood collection is a bit thin. I use apple tv..it's great esp if you stream stuff off iTunes Of course it's got Netflix , Utube, Vimeo as well I see that they have added quite a few Bollywood movies to Netflix last week
Cricketics Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I am thinking of getting a membeship too now. Does this thing have Indian movie database too?
KhanSaab Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Netflix has some bollywood movies that for whatever reason do not show up under the bollywood movie section. Makes it hard to find out whats available and whats not.
mishra Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 i did a trial use of amazon video. Total waste of time for a desi. Discontinued it. Is netflix any good?
coffee_rules Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Netflix produced content is an amazing sell. I am lapping their content and I am about to cancel my cable TV. I used to watch sports, but that we stream online. Netflix and HBO Online is good enough TV now. Cable TV is history in a few years.
Rajiv Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Share with a friend, I paid 1 year now he does. I use DNS VPN to enjoy all locales of Netflix, he used Hola Browser ( not recommended anymore ) + I use Warner Instant Archive, but roky has like popcorn, and 2-3 others + channel pear with all shows running 24/7 I have become total cord cutter with online movies, torrents are out too - just play and chromecast it
Donal Cozzie Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Dont know about US but in EU I can safely say its 5% good quality content 5% unknown shows/films you've never heard of that are actually decent 90% garbage you'll never watch unless drunk
mishra Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Dont know about US but in EU I can safely say its 5% good quality content 5% unknown shows/films you've never heard of that are actually decent 90% garbage you'll never watch unless drunk This was exactly the reason i got rid off amazon. Whatever I wanted to watch, I was supposed to pay for it. And whatever was there, I didnt wanted to search through it.
vvvslaxman Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I am able to use both Amazon and Netflix service well despite having cable on a deal. I want HBO GO for GOT. That is 15$. Instead if i pay 20$ to charter i will get hbo/cinemax/showtime everything where i will get free hbo go, max go.
Crookbond Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Dont know about US but in EU I can safely say its 5% good quality content 5% unknown shows/films you've never heard of that are actually decent 90% garbage you'll never watch unless drunk Just use VPN to get US content. Countries like Germany are sh1t with these copyrights policies; living almost in a cave era.
asterix Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I m in UK and use Netflix as I've no other better options available. Their Bollywood collection is stagnant..,
