not gonna happen. Bhuvi himself has said he is gonna concentrate more on line and length not on pace. He has said he doesn't have the physique or aggression like many fast bowlers. Whoever is coaching needs to be sacked' date=' instead of asking him to work on his physique , it seems he has been advised to show little aggression and bowl line and length. Line and length is more potent when it is bowled at around 135 plus consistently, not when he is bowling 125-130s which possesses no threat to international batsmen.[/quote'] Bhuvi has the ability to bowl really well at 130 to 137 k. Infact, he looks far more potent at this pace range than at 125 to 132 k. I hope he remembers this.

Keeping it tight with the new ball is not an easy or a pointless thing to do. It builds pressure which Australia successfully relieved today but would not have relieved every day. It made the job of facing B Kumar more difficult. Ideally' date=' you will attack with the new ball but someone who keeps it tight cannot be said to be bowling badly as just "not perfectly" or "not brilliantly".[/quote'] It was more to do with safety approach by batsmen against new ball. It was BK who kept tight and gave 2-3 runs in first 3 overs and that helped him too.

The main question is.... Is there any point in picking a very medium pacer unless he is highly skilled or gets steep bounce ? Do they ever suceed in the long run ? Vinay is a medium skilled and short , medium pacer. Also, our pace bowling is becoming too one dimensional with all 3 pacers bowling below 135 k generally. Bhuvi becomes more potent if he has a quicker pacer bowling at the other end.
135K. They all were below 130 most of the times. VK quickest around 132, BK 132, Ishant around 135.

Cricketing website ESPNcricinfo compares Vinay Kumar's style of bowling to that of Venkatesh Prasad, saying that he relies "more on outswingers, legcutters and accuracy, than on outright pace".[22] His lack of pace in his Test debut against Australia in January 2012—bowling at 120 kilometres per hour in his opening spell—was criticised by former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram as "disappointing".[23] On the other hand, The Indian Express noted about Vinay Kumar's performances in his breakthrough 2010 IPL season: "He doesn’t bowl too fast nor too slow, and he doesn’t have threatening in-swingers or the deliveries that shape away from right-handers. But if there is one art that Vinay Kumar has mastered, it is the all-important one of picking up wickets."[24]
