Stuge Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Who Cares? We Watched The Real Final Match Yesterday... :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Texy Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 either way it will be a cracker jacker of a game where Dave Warner will be hitting every ball like a tracer bullet and that will also do him a world of good...the game might be touch and go but make no mistake about it, this contest is just what the doctor ordered and there could be a twist in the tale here, the long handle could be used to good effect, the batsmen could flash, flash Hard
Prakat Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 ^ All three results are possible at his point. :nice:
peterparker Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 i can count on oz to win the match..if it would have been teams like pakistan, south africa or even sri lanka, they throw the match ..india never throw the match.it is sure that they would lose these types of matches
CoverDrive Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 but expect srilanka to be in desperation mode same as us yesterday so I would say it is very likely that Aus may lose. But aus would be fools to take the match lightly because you dont want to get into bad habits.
Sidhoni Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 either way it will be a cracker jacker of a game where Dave Warner will be hitting every ball like a tracer bullet and that will also do him a world of good...the game might be touch and go but make no mistake about it' date=' this contest is just what the doctor ordered and there could be a twist in the tale here, the long handle could be used to good effect, the batsmen could flash, flash Hard[/quote'] U can add "Just get the feeling" at the start instead of either way... Nice effort though :two_thumbs_up:
DomainK Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I doubt Australia will do that. They are not exactly a weak team. If the team management asks them to under perform to keep India out, it will send a very demoralizing message to the team. Aussies are fighters. They hate to show any kind of weakness.
adi B Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 i have no doubts australia will go for a win nd beat lanka ... they dont have to be scared of us, they have galloped india in the tour so far, only thing worrying is, hope not , the aussies might think of the finals nd rest some of their key players, 2 of the finals are in adelaide where india will be more than handy to beat aus, so aus will be wary of that.. but having said that austrlia cannot nd should not take 3 beatings in a row vs lanka in their home teritory considering they lost the last series against them here 2-1 in 2010 + would be a dent to their so claimed #1 position
Number Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Cant think of Aussies under-performing knowingly. This is something they are never associated with. Though , I expect it won't be easy for them , they have been beaten by SL 2 out of 3 times and the only game they won was quite close. Their batting is fragile and SL's bowling and Mahela's captaincy have taken advantage of this in this tournament so far.
CG Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Australia will rest few of their players which will make the job easier for lankans,They have beated them twice convincingly.
vvvslaxman Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Australia will not like to lose 3 matches in a row to SL. Frankly SL is not that good.
Desi Cartman Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Here is how it will end Aus beats SL India beats Aus Aus beats India Rained out -
maniac Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I think our victory might have 2 adverse affects on SL...Either they come all guns blazing taking inspiration from us or they are completely shattered. Though that was not a very genius observation....the magnitutude of the way they were beaten definetely should affect their pshyce in a huge way....I guess they are relly lucky to have Mahila as their capt in this scenario because I do rate his leadership skills a lot.
MCcricket Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 This is not how they roll, also they would rather face India then SL in the finals, b'coz I am afraid we have been their bunnies this series.
cowboysfan Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I hate the aussies but i cant remember the last time they didnt give their all in the field.
Texy Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 don't forget the added incentive of having India in the finals.....sponsors ye baat soch ke mooth marenge
nballa Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 If they give it their all they will face a pathetic team in the finals, If they don't give it their all they will face another pathetic team in the final so it bodes well for them if they don't give a sh1t.
ravishingravi Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 In a final situation, there is little doubt they would prefer to play SL.
jonas10 Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 I dont think they'd like to face india regardless of what has happened in the past. Remember...India was a joke in the world cup upto and including the match against South Africa. That loss was a blessing for them and then they began to turn it all around.
Bradman99 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Why would we have any interest in not wanting to win? The Australian cricket team is thoroughly professional and have great pride in their shirt. As if they would try not to win, just so they could avoid playing India (whom we have beaten with greater success than Sri Lanka anyway).
