Decent player . Lucky to have played during an era when all the limelight , focus and pressure of expectations was on Sachin , helped him perform much better . Was also fortunate to have played more than 300 Odis inspite of a Tuk Tuk Misbahesqe strike rate .
he is better than tendulkar in tests , at least for me

he is better than tendulkar in tests ' date=' at least for me[/quote'] What extraordinary feat has Dravid achieved that Tendulkar hasnt ? To say that Dravid is better than Tendulkar is like saying Chanderpaul is better than Lara because the former is good at Tuk Tuking .

He shouldn't retire until after home series. I hope he annouces he will retire after next home series. He deserves a farewell in his conditions and us winning. Dravid retiring is not a positive step as such. Sacking fletcher, changing the selectors, team captain and mentality would be more appropriate.

I wanted him to play the home test series before considering retirement.. I hope he contiues to be part of Indian cricket. His knowledge, experience and personality will be of immense help to young players...

We will never have an another one like him. Thanks for the memories. Sad to see him go, wish he decided to play one last farewell series at home.

Yes.. when someone has low expectations of a player he can put up a 376 run partnership against good quality attack and help win the match for his country.

He is an outstanding role model for young cricketers. Despite all the slip catch drops recently he still went back and continued practicing. He always maintained his fitness. You can never blame him for not trying.
