Mariyam Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'd advise Dhoni to try his hand at cloud seeding. That could still save the match.
Gunner Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Maybe we should ask Ashwin and Ojha to start chucking....atleast one team has used this to good effect.
Utalk Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Maybe we should ask Ashwin and Ojha to start chucking....atleast one team has used this to good effect. Ojha is a chucker-Bedi. Not working my friend.
R.D forever Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 We cannot directly correlate that. For instance Pujara was offered 3.22 crore for IPL season 4. Kohli also made so much money. Despite sucking in IPL , he is doing well for India. Issue is more mental than monetary. But there are guys like Rohit, Uthappa, Karthik who are not really showing hunger to return to the side. Another aspect is Indian pitches have become second nature to lot of guys due to IPL. Indian bowling , weaknesses and strengths of Indians have all become an open secret. AFAIK Karthik got a contract in big bash but rejected it to play in the ranji trophy...
rkt.india Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 The money that they get in the IPL is nothing compared to they get from advertisements contracts and they are not because of IPL because they play for India and done well. Once they start doing badly, they will lose al that conracts. Remember SRT had 100 crore contract with WorldTel in 90s. We are only doing bad since last year what about before that. Wasn;t money there then too. You need to lool at the team which is in transition, new guys are coming in, old guys are not doing that well and are fading. Every team faces such issues and we were never a eal dominating team, just decent which had some gerat players in it and dependent heavily on them most of the time.
Gunner Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Ojha is a chucker-Bedi. Not working my friend. No, I was serious. Team India need an Ajmal-style bowler who can bowl doosras and mystery balls. That chucking is not illegal anymore is an added bonus.
f.b.m Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Not a bad idea imo. Probably wont work against KP but would work against the others.
someone Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Those above comments make little sense. Being an Indian fan does not mean I am necessary defending Dhoni. Also, now there should be further more reality checks. Actually Dhoni is nor the problem nor the solution. We should be very clear on that. Changing the leadership itself will not just bring success. Our problem really is a combination of factors of 1. technical 2. tactical 3. physical 4. mental. The solution ideally would be to have a more professional approach to Indian cricket. Also, it's a question of consistency + patience. Suppose, we change the captain, and the new captain does poorly, are we going to consistent in our decision making? Are we going to remove this captain like Dhoni for doing poorly. Thus, it all needs to the need for patience + making sure we are consistent in our decision making instead of having double standards for individuals. This is where we need better fans as even here, we have some kneejerk fans who just support Indian cricket team to win. If losing, they go mad. And back to Dhoni, I will admit that some of his excuses are poor. He needs to really work on his wordings and be more sensible on it.
NareshK Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Even though I can see how too much money can lead to complacency, if we look at specific cricketers, like Kohli for instance who makes a **** load of money in IPL, he also does well in ODIs too and so does Dhoni. So there doesnt seem to be a connection there. In tests, its a matter of temperament and technical skills which are lacking in our team. So I think they are just not performing as well as they would like to.
jf1gp_1 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Gary Kirsten took us to no1 and WC. He is now with SA and they are no1 I am sure there coach has to take some blame here. After 8 losses I thought Dhoni will finally redeem himself at home and start rebuilding this team, nope the rebuilding has to start without him but I just don't see anyone who can take over from him. Maybe sehwag
amiret Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 It is shameful to lose to England at home in even a single test when you consider how rubbish they are in asia and how strong we are at home. They have won 4 and lost 6 out of 15 matches in Pak and SL since 2000 we have won 5 and lost 7 out of 17 matches in Pak and SL since 2000. Eng have won a test SERIES in Pak and SL in the same period.
Old guy Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 so a naked man,guy shoving stumps up his **** and mini earth quake is ur strategy ? :hmmm:

Maybe sehwag[/quote'] Nothings gonna happen mate. If anyone is going to go, it is the curators, groundsmen of Kolkata/ Mumbai/ Delhi/ Patiala/ Agartala/ Latur,..... . Dhobi and co. are here to stay, atleast till his family financials are future secure :yay:
Sandeep99 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Our players' attitude has changed immensely for sure! There is no desire to win whatsoever.. All they want is to get done with the match and go back..Money certainly has a role in this... All they have is false pride and no performance to back it up! I guess all teams have already figured this out... Push them into the corner and stab them, for there is no fight or pride left in them..
Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Our Ojha also chucks? Trott's dismissal! Seemed like blatant chucking, not sure is it my eyes or he really chucks or is it 2D TV technology playing tricks.
asterix Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Let's all laugh at Dhobiiiiiii XI :hysterical: :hysterical:
