Ultimate_Game Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Bud this is 3rd straight WT20 where we are getting @$$ r@*ed. We have yet to win a knockout match in the tourney since 2007 and at the moment we are no better than the minnows at T20.

The rain nullified that effect. what? Playing three spinners is always a gamble even in tests and in t20s its harakiri when you have guys like yuvi,raina and compare to chawla who is so inconsistent .Eng match really cost us.

It's not as if we have likes of Ambrose and McGraths on the bench. We are shyte at bowling and our strength is batting. Our best time in shorter formats has come with 7 batsmen and that's the only way we can win, i.e. score a huge total or chase one. I hope today's humiliation finally settles the argument for good that 7 batsman formula is the only one which works for us, at least till time we get half-decent bowlers.

What a welcome to our new selection committee by the team :haha: Binny said the team is in transition and it is going to be tricky (as per a cricinfo article). However, I strongly feel that now is the time for an overhaul of our t20 side. We also seriously need to consider drastic measures to shore up our bowling attack regardless of the format because this type of bowling day in and day out is becoming a national embarrassment. Problem is what does the new committee do if anything at all? :confused_smile:
