SLICKR392
Prenounce? Freudian slip, allae? श is melllow. ष is non-mellow? I fixed the "Th" "d" on the malayalam as well as the "...shai" part ... I had assumed that palakkad tamizh and malayalam would be the same. Was wrong. My bad. Lol Alla, I don't exactly know all the Hindi alphabets. I usually stress on the 'sha' while saying 'dosha' and people correct me.

velu
Check the lyrics of the Meagdeths song Liar.. This is how rant should be .. maniac , KT :finger: "Liar" [Music by D.Mustaine / D.Ellefson, lyrics by D.Mustaine] You take great pride in never having lived up to anything Lie, steal, cheat, and kill, a real bad guy Your daddy is a wine, and your mommy's quite insane From altar boy to sewer rat, you don't give a damn Your sister is a junkie, get "it" anyway she can Your brother's a gay singer in a stud leather band Your girlfriend's got herpes to go with your help and AIDS There ain't one person you know you ain't ripped off yet Look deep in the mirror, look deep into its eyes Your face is replaced, a creature you despise But I know what you're made of, it ain't much I'm afraid I know you'll be lying until your dying day Make up your stories, but truth's so hard to say Brain is numb and your tongue will surely dig you grave Your mind is sickly from Alzheimer's disease And decadence and debauchery killed your memories You're a liar, liar, liar, everyone can see You're a liar, liar, liar, it's all you'll ever be You're a liar, liar, liar, it's what you mean to me Liar, liar, lies... Start trouble, spread pain Piss and venom in your veins Talk nasty, breathe fire Smell rotten, you're a liar Sweat liquor, breathe snot Eat garbage, spit blood Diseased, health hazard Scum bag, ****ing bastard Grease face, teeth decay Hair matted, drunk all day Abscessed, sunken veins Rot gut, scrambled brain Steal money, crash cars Rob jewelry, hock guitars Rot in hell, it's time you know To your master, off you go You're a liar A ****ing liar Filthy liar You, you, you, you ****ing liar! You're a liar

PBN
True Northies can't pronounce Sanskrit words properly because of their Urdu influence - Padnabha (for Padmanabha) Srivastava (For Srivatsa) Kisna (for Krishna) Bomman (Brahmin) That's why punjabis don't bother with complex names - case in point - Jimmy, Pinky, Dolly, Beauty, Puppy, Honey, Sanskrit and Urdu (which derives its words mostly from Persian/Arabic) have quite a few similarities with respect to vocabulary and pronunciation. Especially Sanskrit and old Persian. For instance, not being able to pronounce the 'sh' sound as is in Krishna could not be due to the influence of Urdu as the 'sh' sound is natively found in persian and hence urdu. It seems to be more a case of the older local language coming in contact with a foreign one and hence the 'corruption' of words. I don't quite understand the first two examples. They seem more a case of words being 'corrupted' through oral conversation rather than not being able to pronounce certain consonants. Srivastava for Srivatsa is a strange example because Srivastava actually has more vowel connections so if you can pronounce srivastava then srivatsa would be quite easily imo. Lol at 'punjabi' nicknames :P That's what nicknames are for. short and sweet.

kubrickian
Just because some people enjoy certain type of movies or entertainment, doesnt mean they are posers. I'm a huge movie buff but don't watch most Indian movies either because most of them are formulaic, predictable, cliche and acting is too exaggerated, comedy is too silly and they throw in some stupid songs and dances for good measure. It just bores me and feels like a waste of time. I'm not saying all Indian movies are like this, there are some good ones being made too but I think you get my drift. I avoid them unless I hear really good things about them.
