vvvslaxman Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Australia shouldn't get excited - England will still win next year's Ashes :giggle:
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Now I'm certain the winners will be Aussies :haha: These pommies never learn :giggle:
punjabi_khota Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Well he makes sense though. As shyte as England's performance has been, OZ doesn't seem to be very well put together ATM. i would bet on England win in the Ashes in England.
BeautifulGame Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I just read the comments in that article and the english fans are moaning SA cricket team is boring to watch. Seriously how deluded are they? :hysterical: Yep Why would anyone watch ABDV Amla Styen Morkel when u can watch Cook Trott or clouderson.

I mean they got guys like Trott in their side yet calling others boring :haha:
Pagalpanti Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 They just rolled over the Aussies in ODI's in which England suck the most. So I don't think its over-confidence, the Aussies r just plain bad atm.

Lost to Pakistan badly, drew with SL, lost to SA. Now KP is gone. I would be very cautious before making wild predictions after losing a series badly.
maniac Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Australia batting is really vulnerable...even in Indian tour they had a couple of collapses against our mighty attack.....If you look at the Eng-SA series,it was the batting that made the difference...As far as bowling goes Eng is marginally better than Aus...So yes Eng are the favourites but not at the point where their supporters can gloat.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Isn't it too early to make Ashes predictions? For English it's never too early to make Ashes predictions. I am sure they can make prediction for 2018 Ashes as well if you ask them.

Chalks Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 So there you go. As per usual, for England every series between Ashes series is just preparation for the next Ashes series. So their ass-whooping by the Proteas can be rationalised away as merely being preparation for next Ashes. :giggle: Australia probably won't win back the Ashes next year, but at least they take every Test series they play in seriously.
rkt.india Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I wont be surprised after seeing England's bowling in this series if Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Cummins, Pattinson, Starc, Harris turn out to be a better bowling attack of the two, next year. Though Aussie batting has the impotency to make England bowling look better.
