Well Done Pakistan

Am not too sure about the congratulations part. Yes Pak put up a better performance but they again crumbled under pressure in the 2nd innings when they had the upper hand. Plus SA always struggles inexplicably in their 2nd Test and even someone like SL were able to beat them in the 2nd Test. I expect SA to be their usual selves in the 3rd Test and a washout is on the cards.

There was nothing appluadable about this defeat...they have a mediocre batting line up...even worse than NZ and Bangladesh' date=' an ageing captain, and a bowling line up that would make our trundlers look legends.[/quote'] yeah i agree our batting suck but to compare us to nz and bangla is just poor stuff..was it the great indian batting line up that cound't reach 300 in like 8 innings or something?

South Africa were stretched but that's it and that was because Kallis was given out when not and Morkel was injured in the 2nd innings. Did you see Mohammad Younis Khan out in the pak first inning? Prob not.

I expected much more to be honest from this Pakistan side in first 2 tests. It was pretty much UAE type track, but only YK, Shafiq and Ajmal played well. 5-6 guys were just passengers.

Excuses like 'Great spirit' and moral victories are for teams and fans looking for something to make the loss seem less painful. Pakistan, as expected, have been thrashed yet again in an away series. They have won just 1 (against NZ) of their last 11 series away from home against the top 8 teams.

forget past
we should forget the past, but you keep bringing the 4-0 which was 2years ago and just 6 months after the 1-1 draw in saf.is this not the past? hypocrisy at its best

It was an improved performance and that's it, nothing else. Lets talk about our team wrt the Australia series, not on how good/bad we would have done hypothetically in SA.

Another 70-100 runs in the Pak's 2nd innings, and they would have won this Test match. Te Saffer batsmen were clueless against Ajmal on this turning wicket. Also a mystery why Hafeez bowled only one over in the 2nd innings.

- Kallis was not out - Pitch was dry - Ajmal (Chucker) was bending his arm more than usual - Morkel was Injured and yet Pakis couldn't win the test match, and you are saying well done. :haha: :finger:

SAF is a resilient side, they always seem to bounce back when they are pushed against the wall. Pak side OTOH is one dimensional. You can't beat a top side with such gaping holes in your batting. That said, Paksters did put up a better fight that what our current side would have managed against a top side. Ajmal is a freak, he will always get wickets. More than its bowling (which is always strong), what augurs well for Pakistan is that it may have found at least a couple of young batsmen (Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq) who are not FTBs. Against most other sides, if Pak can put 300-350 on the board, it will win most of the time.

Yes you lost but you fought. The 2nd test could have gone either way and you had your moments. In spite of the gulf between the sides, you showed great spirit. Not many sides can compete with SA at the moment, esp. in SA. India certainly can't
Thank you, it was a good effort and I expect to see further improvement in the las test. If we get our bowling line up straight (Junaid/Irfan/Ajmal/Rehman) I think we can win the last test. Gul and Tanvir were massively weak links and need to be replaced.

Retarded logic. How can you conclude this team would not win ? Writing the team off like that reeks of loser mentality. Last time India went there' date=' they drew 1-1. That's what you go by and not hypothetical scenarios.[/quote'] So you go by how the team was 2 years ago, not how it is now? You call that logic? You like to delude yourself living in the past, so be it. I prefer to be realistic- it is hypothetical but one can make a pretty educated guess based on how India and SA are playing right now

I can't even watch Ajmal throw. It's insulting to cricket and to its followers. IMO he is worse than murali as at least his arm had a deformity but Ajmal just blatantly chucks
That is true. But it is a cost now we have to bear.
